Are adults still allowed to order kids meals at the sit down restaurants in WS? I always have food to take home whenever we go out to eat and I hate wasting it on vacation. (no where to put it) I was looking at menus trying to get a feel where DS and I would like to eat. We could probably split an entre and get 2 drinks and have enough food. But, it would be more cost effective if I could just order off of the kids menu. Has anyone done this recently? I will ask before we are seated, but just wanted to know some of the places others have gotten the kids meals so I don't waste anyones time.

I'm glad that you asked this one. I too have wondered about this myself. I had gastric bypass 5 months ago and can only eat a few bites of food. I figured I would either split a meal with my family or order a kids meal from time to time. I was also wondering if anyone knows if you HAVE to pay for an entire meal at the all you can eat type places. For instance, if we did a character breakfast, if everyone eats but me, do I have to pay for the entire meal? I'm not trying to be cheap, just don't want to pay close to $30 for food that I won't be able to eat. Thanks

I believe as long as you do not eat or drink anything then they will only charge you $5 for an entertainment fee at the character meals. I don't think you will be allowed to pay for a childrens meal though.

Are adults only allowed to order kids meals in WS or does that apply to all the park restaurants? This is great news for our family if you can order them anywhere. I often get kids meals for myself even when we order fast food here at home. Also, my daughter just turned 13 and eats like a bird. Will there be any questions if I order her a kids meal in the parks at sit down restaurants? Thanks:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

JulesMom, thanks for the first hand information! Has anyone else done this?

I've gotten kids' breakfast in resort food courts. At least one of the food court folks said the amount charged was really based on portion size, (i.e. two Mickey waffles rather than three), not really on the age of the person ordering, so it wasn't a problem if I wanted the smaller portion.

I haven't tried this in any of the park restaurants, though. I've heard that other people have.
