I am so sorry for all the questions but have never been on a cruise and had no intention of doing so.

Then the talk of disney cruise came up :lmao:

If it is just two adults, do you not get bored?

Probably a strange question but what do you do all day? I love to sun bathe but feel being on a disney cruise do obviously not want to do that all day.

Nope. I don't get bored. There seems to always be something to do. Bingo, Seminars, Bingo, Games, Movies, Bingo, Shows, Shore Excursions. Oh yeah did I mention, I like to play Bingo.

We went without DS a few years ago and I am still trying to do it again. But with DS being 15 - almost 16 on our next cruise , I think it will be more like no kids than with kids. We may see him for meals if we are lucky.

Until this last cruise, DH and I had always cruised just us, no kids. We were never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever bored. Ever. Really.
There is so much to do with tastings, demostrations, classes, etc, you have to work very hard to be bored. And I can honestly say after our first Panama Canal cruise and being on board for 14 days we still weren't bored.
Look at some Navigator's and you'll see how much there is to do.

I agree with the above poster...check out some Navigators for the length and itinerary you are considering and see if there is enough to occupy you. I can't imagine being bored (unless you just wanted to do nothing), but to each their own!

DW and I have been on three cruises on DCL. We have no children. The key to DCL is that they keep the kids so busy, you really don't think you are on a "Disney" cruise, if that makes sense. And, like any other cruise line, you can be as active or as bored as you want to be. It is all up to your desires. DW and I have NEVER been able to do everything we wanted to do on our cruises. So just go, relax and enjoy!:thumbsup2

We have always cruised with our kids, but this time DH and I are going alone. This time we get to do what WE want to do.
That being said, on our last DCL cruises the kids spent a lot of time doing their own things, so DH and I were alone much of the time. I never got to do everything I wanted. The activities are jam packed.
My favorites were the cooking demos, tequila tastings, the adult shows, the spa, and Palo.
You will only be bored on DCL if you want to be bored.

If there hadn't been movies I wanted to see at 1:00 on Nassau and Castaway Cay days, yes - I would've been bored. There were plenty of activities on the sea day, but very few onboard activities for adults on port days. No - I am not one to spend time at the pool or spa.

I get more bored in Disney World then on a Disney Cruise, if I do have nothing to do I walk around the ship making movies and it becomes interesting:lmao:

I have been on many disney cruises and have never gotten bored unless it was my own fault! There are so many things to do, see be part of and experiance! You will have have a blast and I bet sunbathing will only be a very small part of the things you do. Make the most of your Navigator and outline what you want to do during the day or just play things the way you want to!

You will have a blast and will never get bored. If you do, there is always food to eat and order room service, close the curtains and watch a movie! I bring boggle, and scrabble with me to play at the Cove Cafe and love relaxing that way.

Enjoy your cruise!

I can eat, order from room service, or watch a movie on TV on any ship - and usually at a lower price than on DCL! I'm referring to DCL's onboard activities on port days - which are definitely lacking for adults.

Luckily, we all get to have our own opinions.

We don't have childeren yet, and will be going on Disney Cruise #10 this October (already have #11 booked for summer of 2011). We've never been bored on a Disney cruise. Relaxed, yes. Bored, no.

I am sorry for some reason if I offended you! This was just an option as I had said that this was an option if you could find nothing else to do. I must say that I love taking it easy and you can't order room service when your home so why not on a boat if you can;t find something to do or just dont want to do anything. I do it to get close to the one I might be on the cruise with.

I do not find the DCL lacking in adult activities. I think there is much to do and hope that the poster of this question has a fantastic time on the DCL and I am sure she/he will!

I am also sorry that you find the DCL lacking in adult activites. I'm sure others might agree to your statement but the cruise is what you make of it and you can always find something to do. I many options and you picked one out to critique.

I hope you enjoy every cruise you take!

Disney has adult areas on the ship...and lots of booze tastings (yes you have to pay extra for them though). and I am just one adult, not two. I think my first cruise was boring (bad weather) but the three after that were not.

I do think it is a shame that they seem to have done away with the pubmaster and with a number of the organized activities for adults that were done in the pub. But you can do tours of the ship, and other things if they interest you.

Never thought about there being nothing to do on the port days - I've always been out in the port. I can sort of see why they don't schedule much on port days. I don't have any idea what other cruise lines do; do they schedule onboard activities for port days?

I have to agree. There are so many things to do, I can always finds something.

I wasn't offended at all. I enjoyed Mickey bars from room service on my most recent Wonder cruise, and I also looked forward to the afternoon movies in the theater. However, DCL doesn't have much in the way of scheduled activities for adults while the ship is in port. That's not an opinion - just look at your Navigators. I have gotten off the ship in Nassau, but I didn't spend the whole day there. And a few hours at Castaway Cay plus the BBQ lunch are plenty of beach time for me. I am used to other ships having something going on onboard - even if I wasn't interested in it. On my first Disney cruise, I went to the afternoon DVC presentation just for something to do. :lmao:

DCL does have plenty of activities on the sea day, and I mentioned that. There are also many things to do during the evening. If I were on a cruise with more interesting ports than Nassau and (sorry DCL-lovers) Castaway Cay, I imagine I would be off the ship as long as possible.

I agree that there are many things to do onboard a Disney cruise, but quite a few items on your list are available only on the sea day(s) or at night. I am not the pool/hot tub/sports court type, and I'm not interested in going to the $pa or liquor ta$ting$. I would be happy playing trivia every day, but it was available only on the sea day.
