Adults in Diapers at Disney

Hi there,

I'm an incontinent adult (both bladder and bowel) who wears diapers at all times, so obviously will be in them while at Disney World. I'll have my fiance with me who helps me change my diaper when necessary (I also have a physical handicap that makes it a little difficult).

My question is: do the parks have private restrooms for individuals like myself who need help changing from someone else? If so - where are they in each park? Are they easy to find? Are they clean? Is there a place to lie on the floor, for example? Any details would be helpful.

Thanks!

The best place for you will be First Aid.
There is a First Aid station in each park, with private rooms with cots.
There are Companion Restrooms at various places in each park. These are private, one toilet bathrooms with a door that can be locked for privacy. They have no facilities other than the floor where an adult could lie down. The floors are hard ceramic tile and are none too clean.

CLICK HERE for a thread about restrooms at WDW that will be helpful to you. It has pictures of Companion Restrooms (at least at Epcot because that's all I have finished) and some pictures that show examples of the cots at First Aid.

That is a site that shows all the bathrooms and mentions which have companion bathrooms.

I agree about bathroom floors being unsanitary. I would not put a blanket down then lay on a bathroom floor not even Disney. Law is that a disabled person may take a person of the opposite gender with them into a restroom. The disabled person then would be allowed to go to either men's or women's restrooms if it is a mixed group. If you decide you will not be able to make it to the Nurse's station then bring something for the floors as they are heavily used and not clean like your home. Imagine hacking cold germ laden people.

That is a great web site. Thank you. I am glad to know where all of the companion restrooms are. I thought I knew where all of the bathrooms were, but boy was I wrong. Thanks again.
