Hello,

DH(30) and I(28) will be there oct 16-24th and was wondering if there are only adults that go? we don't have any childeren yet, and i thought it would be something fun to do that is different. i read that some "adults" get to trick or treat too?? is that true?? and one other question, do we have to be dressed up?

thanks for any info!!

DH and I went several times before we had kids and we always had a blast! We LOVED it! We never dressed up, but we usually wore some kind of Halloween t-shirt or something and maybe a hat. We never trick-or-treated because there were always too many other fun things to do and we could get candy anywhere. I'm sure you would be allowed to if you wanted to, though. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time! We're almost exactly the same ages as you guys, and this year will be our first year at the Halloween party with our baby. He'll be 18 months old, so I know it will be a very different experience that what we have had before!

hey gem,

looks like we will be at the world the same time this year! what night did you end up picking for the MNNSHP?? i was thinking about the 17th, we get in on the 16th and i thought it would a good way to visit MK without using a day from our passes.

thank you for the info!!

I'll second Gem's response. My mother and I went last year (I was 28 she was 47) and we're going again this year. We didn't dress up last year, but I saw many adults that were so I'm dressing up this year. And we did a little trick or treating too.

Hey Kristin -

Glad I could help. We have tickets for the 17th, too! Maybe we'll see you there. We love the Halloween party! We've done the Christmas party several times, too, but the Halloween party is by far our favorite!

My best advice is to use the party to do the "special" things that only happen during the party - the Halloween parade, the special fireworks, visit the fortune teller's booth, have your picture made with the characters wearing their Halloween costumes, etc. The rides you can do anytime!

Oh, and see the later parade. It's much less crowded! The parade is really awesome. Don't miss the Headless Horseman as he rides throgh the Magic Kingdom on his huge black horse right before the parade! Really cool!

Oh, and one more tip - In the past we have always been able to enter the Magic Kingdom around 4pm using nothing but our party ticket. That way we don't have to use a day off our passes, and we get a few extra hours of fun.

DH and I went last year, no munchkins, and had a very good time. Haven't decided if we'll do it again this year. We did trick or treat, rode rides (Splash Mountain in a log all by ourselves - have pic to prove it :bounce: ), took pics with characters in costumes, etc. I love being in the parks after dark. We did wear costumes. I had put our dogs pic on white T-shirts, made us dog ears, and we wore black shorts and we were Makai's mom and dad! It was just enough costume! And we were cooler than some others. If I remember correctly, it was rather warm.

Go - I'll bet you'll have fun!!

Me (29) and DH (35) are going to our first MNSSHP on the 20th and I' m really excited. We don't plan to dress up though. I was a little worried at first about us not having kids, that it may be too geared toward little fellas, but I've read so much about it that it seems to be for everyone. Go and have a great time!!!

We went to the MNSSHP 2 years ago during our 35th wedding anniversary trip!! We just wore t-shirts with a pumpkin on them. We did 'trick or treat' - was fun!! We also enjoyed the parade & just people watching!! We went around 4:00 & grabbed a bit to eat a Paco's Bills & were set for the evening. This year we are taking 3 of our grandchildren
::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo - looking forward to it!
Don't worry about being dressed up or not -- or having kids along - it is fun for 'everyone'!!!

I went with my mom last year (me 29, her 65) and we plan on going to MVMCP this year, just the two of us...

We wore Halloween tees that we picked up at the old navy and we even went trick or treating!

We have been to the Christmas party twice already as just adults, you won't feel out of place!!

My DH, my brother and myself went last year and we had a blast. Adults get to trick or treat too, in fact they came home with bags fully loaded with candy!!!! We are looking forward to going again this year.

thank you for all the great info!!! now i just need to call and see if the 17th is available!!

We're going with a group of 5 adults (ages 26-57) on 10/28 and are looking forward to it. We went with the same adult-only group to MVMCP back in 2001 and had a blast!

So far for costumes we've picked Halloween tees that say "This is my Halloween costume" since we're not sure about traveling with actual costumes (event though I have the best Fairy Godmother costume as well as Tigger and Eeyore costumes from the catalog . . . )
