Adults at Character Meals

On mine and dh's first trip to Disney together we went to a character meal (the one at Liberty Tree Tavern) by ourselves. Even if it was still just him and I, we'd still go to them alone. I don't think it's weird...

All my trips since 2005 when I was 22 I've done a character meal -

2005: O'Hana breakfast - 2 adults ages 22 & 23
2008: Chef Mickey dinner - 2 adults ages 25 and 50+
2010 Feb: Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner (when CP was closed) - 2 adults ages 27 and 25
2010 Nov: Tusker House breakfast - 3 adults ages 27, 28 and 31

Never did we get looks and all the times were GREAT!

Not going to WDW again till next fall but thinking of trying breakfast at Crystal Palace with my Boyfriend

We went to lots of these meals when our kids were little. Now that they are grown and have their own kids we usually don't do character meals.

Last year we ended up at a lunch meal at Norway in EPCOT. We did not know it was a character meal until we sat down. It was OK but we were a little
uncomfortable. The cast members were very understanding.

Character meals are very much more fun when we take our grand children. They make us feel like young parents again

Do it!

I've done character meals as a solo (tho not my first preference) and with other adults and it's all good.

Though, if there are kids around, then the characters may start dancing with them, etc, but you always get your time in too. :thumbsup2

Have Fun!!!!

I'm not sure if there is a thread on here already about this, but I could not find it. Is it creepy or weird if 3 adults want to go to character meals? I have only been to Disney once every and I'm 30, one of the other adults has only been once since she was a kid and that was like 30 years ago and the other adult is early 20's and he hasn't been since he was a kid either. Needless to say we want to do it up like we are kids. We just want to know if this is something we should do and where you think we should go. We are considering Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch and 1900 Park Fare for breakfast, but that's it. We don't want to do a ton of them.
Thanks

It's actually not that strange. Disney is for everyone in my opinion, so it's great to meet up with Characters just for the sake of doing it. It's fun for all ages to do. My parents tend to attend anything with Characters, whether it be to wait in line for Characters, or to eat at a character restaurant. It's family oriented, so that means anybody can participate in things like that. Even kids at heart. :)
