I was just reading another thread & read that at CP 1 of the tables had only adults sitting at it so Pooh ignored them:mad: :sad2: . This has made me slightly worried :scared: as i ve booked a few character meals inc Ohanas, CP, Chef Mickeys, Garden Grill & there is only me & my df going.

I was just wondering how everyone who has had a character meal JUST ADULTS has been treated by the characters? Whether they ve still really interacted with you or if you ve had the same kinda treatment that another member mentioned at CP.

Im hoping this kinda treatment was a one off as i think its shocking that anyone at a character meal gets ignored, half of the time adults act more like kids anyway:rotfl:

We don't have kids and we've done character meals at Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, and Cape May Cafe - we have never been ignored by the characters. We've had great interaction and have taken lots of pictures. I really don't think you have anything to worry about. :goodvibes

We are children trapped in adult bodies and we've NEVER had a bad character meal ANYWHERE!! The characters were wonderful, always stopped for photos and interactions and we always do at least 2 character meals per trip!

Each time I have gone it has been just adults and we have had no problems at character meals or even just standing in line in one of the parks.

I wouldn't worry about it, go and have a good time.

that happened to me once but it was in Disneyland Paris so i don't think it actually counts!! :P The character in question was Captain Hook but we actually went after him and he stopped and talked eventually so alls well lol.

But at Disney World I have never had a problem. We've done LTT, Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare, Akershus and Garden Grill and had a great time at them all with the characters. They still stopped for piccys and autographs. And we never felt like they thought we were any different than the other kids there.

I'll agree with everyone else...we have gone by ourselves several times and now when we go with our adult children (21 and 18), the characters are just as funny and playful as they were when our kids were young!

Im so glad to hear everyones positive replies:goodvibes

I was just so shocked to read that someone had that kind of treatment so was hoping it was nt a common thing. I personally cant wait to meet all the characters, im such a big kid so i ll totally love it:lovestruc . God help Eeyore when i meet him, hes gonna get such a massive hug from me.....i love him to bits:love:My df thinks its so funny as he says to me " you do know Eeyores not real, that its just someone dressed in a suit", thing is when i see the Eeyore to me he becomes Eeyore from the books/tv not someone dressed in an outfit:laughing:

DW and I have done all the character meals and never had a bad one, We do CP the 1st night we are at WDW and pooh and all the other stop at our table. We hug them and tell how great it is that they could come by and see us. We have bought honey for pooh and acorns for chip and dale at LTT. They have loved it.

It's always just DH and I (no kids yet!) and we have been to many characters meals and have never had this happen, nor seen this happen! Maybe it was a fluke...

DH and I had 1 bad character experience at Chef Mickey's. I'm not sure if it was because we were adults, or if it was just he wanted to go on his break (we were at the very end of the breakfast shift). It was Goofy. The first time he came through we missed him. His second trip through he visited every table except ours. He just walked right past our table, and was headed straight off the dining room floor. We caught up with him, and asked for a picture. He did pose for us, but I could tell he was pretty po'd that we did this.

We have NEVER been ignored. Most of the time it's me and my 83 year old parents. They have a blast with the characters. We've done Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, and Garden Grill.

Done many many meals with just adults.Characters NEVER ignored us.

I've never done a character meal with children, only adults, and we've never (knock wood) been ignored. The interaction has always been great!

Did CP and Princess dining at Norway and never were ignored-its just me and my boyfriend!

I have done a number of meals without kids and NEVER have been ignored. All the characters were so nice, posed for bunches of pictures, had great interaction.

Of course, I'm sure that it doesn't hurt that I get extremely excited when I see a character and wave and clap like a 5 year old! :lmao:

You sound just like me then, i tend to go a tad mad over certain characters especialy Eeyore & Pluto:love: . Its part of enjoying the whole Disney Magic though, its every adults opportunity when there to act like a big kid, something i certainly love doing.

I've been doing character meals every year since 2001. Never been ignored. Maybe those people were away from the table when the characters came by. I missed Piglet one time, but that was my fault, I wanted my omlete!

The CM's will tell you to stay at your table if you see a character coming. If the character is 10 to 15 tables away, it's cool to go get your food, but if the character is like 4 tables away or less. Sit and chill, the food will be there. I just really wanted my omlete :thumbsup2

My df thinks its so funny as he says to me " you do know Eeyores not real, that its just someone dressed in a suit" :sad2:

DH and I have been going to character meals for the last 7 years and have never been ignored by the characters.

Oct 07 at CP the characters were unbelievably slow in getting to our side of the restaurant, all 4 of them were on the other side. We were there for 45 minutes and still nothing so we just left...we were really there for the breakfast food and wanted to get into the park for rope drop (we had 8:05 ressies).

I know, i know ........ not that i listen though ;) Trust me when Eeyore appears i can give a kid a run for there money in bounding over to him:rotfl:
