I made breakfast ADRs at Tusker House and Crystal Palace for DBF and I. I chose those ADRs because I think I will like them. Breakfast is my favorite meal and so often on vacation it gets skipped or is just a quick bite on the way out the door. Should we ask that the characters not come to our table? Sure it would be cool to have our pic with Pooh bear and the gang, but shouldn't I let them focus the attention on the kids there? Or will they just not come over since the reservation is for two adults?

Personally I wouldn't dare ask them not to come "visit" me!!!

I love having the characters stop by for a quick picture. It is just DH and myself so we don't keep them from the kids long, just long enough for a quick snapshot.

But definitely don't shy away because you don't have kids with you or because it is taking time from the kids. They will get their turn.....Disney is for everyone not just kids.
If you want to enjoy the characters do so!!!! ;)

The characters are generally really good at judging if people want them to visit the table or not. If it doesn't look like you are really into it they might just stop by for a quick "Hi" and move on to the next table. My husband and I have gone to plenty of character meals just the two of us and we have always had a great time. We do get into the characters, though. We have an autograph book with us and take lots of pictures. We're just big kids. :)

Thanks guys. :goodvibes Guess I was worried for nothing. lol I think we will like the characters. It will be neat to have a few pics with them to show everyone back home.

My fiance and I are going on our honeymoon in August and we made ADR's for breakfast @ Tusker House too! I personally love a character breakfast! I've been to Crystal Palace before, and it was so much fun! Just have a good time and enjoy the extra attention! lol! :)

What??? :scared1: I wouldn't even consider not having some fun with the characters, we are all adults in my family and are more excited than any kid there. We do at least 3 character meals per trip, usually 4 or 5. :thumbsup2

They have plenty of allotted time to visit all tables. Take the opportunity to get a few pics that otherwise as an adult you probably wouldn't wait for in the parks.

At heart, we're all kids, so I fail to see the problem with spending time with the characters. ;)

I agree. At Crystal Palace a few weeks ago, we had pictures taken with the characters with our son and then I asked if I could have a picture with all of them, too. People laugh that my son is barely smiling (he is 5) and yet I look like I'm in heaven :) I'm totally a id at heart.

The table next to us had 2 adults. The characters stopped and one the adults got up for a picture each time.

If YOU would like to see the characters, then there is no need to ask that they not come to your table. There really isn't any reason for you to feel that they should only be visiting with children. Plenty of adults like the characters too.

If you want to eat and run and you don't want any character distractions, it's probably okay to ask that they bypass you. But if you like the characters, you should be able to enjoy them just as much as anyone else does.

I've just returned from a wonderful vacation with my DH and we had breakfast at Tusker House
DH wasn't sure if we would look a bit odd without kids but even he proclaimed 'that was great' afterwards
The characters stopped by for a quick photo and goofy really 'goofed around' with DH
Just go for it and enjoy :cool1:
The food was really really good to
By the way, there is a posed picture outside Tusker House with Donald before you are seated. If you have your own camera with you just ask a CM to take your photo (they will be very happy to) that way if you don't want to buy the official picture you won't have to :thumbsup2

My DH and I are going to Tusker House for breakfast next month and we aren't parents yet. This will be our 3rd character meal and I love them!

I have to add to the OP that it is very sweet of you to be concerned about taking time away from the children at the character meal, but you need not worry about that. Don't miss out on getting your picture taken with Piglet and Eeyore! They are so soft and sweet!

We love the Tusker House Character breakfast, I've found it to have plenty of fresh breakfast offerings, and I'm not much of a buffet person. We always do this on the day we visit AK since the park after many years of visits is just a 1/2 day for us. We book 8:15 ADR's, check in and then head to the Safari for fast passes. We do this character buffet even if we do not have our younger neices and nephews with us, even DS 13 doesn't mind it. The experience is fun for everyone and the characters make sure that everyone gets special time no matter what age. I think you'll enjoy it! After breakfast then it's just a hop, skip and a jump to the safari!
