Can I buy all adult tickets for the 7 day tickets since they are the same price as a child? I am not understanding why there is a difference.

I'm not sure either but they are all the same price. I don't think it makes a difference really.

The only difference is that the child ticket does not require biometrics. A child can use an adult ticket but an adult can't use a child's ticket. If you think that there is a chance that your child might be age 10 before you go, then I'd buy the adult ticket.

We are planning to go in October next year, my son's birthday is in December and he is really tall for his age so just to save carrying his passport around to prove his age (bad memories of having to do this when he was 2 at Disney) we bought him an adult ticket. Also if we have to postpone the trip it won't be an issue.

My son is 8 and had to use biometrics.... :confused3 he don't care tho....it's a "big kid" thing :thumbsup2

Kait had to try the biometrics too....and she is 12.....she enjoyed having her name associated with her fingerprint :thumbsup2

it was neat - we did the responsbile thing and made her an "adult ticket"

Thanks everyone. I am planning on buying the tickets in hopes of using them next year but if things don't pan out I don't want to be stuck with them. I will get the adult ones.

Good plan! :thumbsup2

We purchased our through AAA ($85 each) and the agent asked for our son's age now (he's 7) and according to her she had to "specially code" his since "he's a child." There was no price difference so I'm in complete agreement with buying the adult just in case things don't pan out. Better safe than sorry. :thumbsup2

And what is it with the biometrics? They always had DS7 use the machine. I take that back, when it was working we all had to use it. Do they generally have problems with the machines? I'd say that most of the time tickets were being scanned with a hand held. Seems like the machines rarely worked.
