Planning an early March trip with the adult kids.

Any recommendations on the best resort to choose?

I was considering the Boardwalk or Beach Club Villas as the cost is fairly good on David's Vac Club Rentals.

This March? My guess that both will be hard to book this late. You might only have SSR, OKW and maybe AKV available since you are only two months out.

Both are excellent choices. I have never stayed in the villas at either resort, so the layout of teh rooms are nto familiar for me, however in terms of location you cannot beat either one.

My preference is the beach Club but that is a personal choice. I love the short walk to Epcot, and the theme is my favorite.

I had not considered that they were less than 3 months out, but the timing if the OP was planning for this March is sketchy at best.

DW and I made many adult only visits to the Boardwalk, once on the villa side. We enjoyed the theming and what I felt was the more adult vibe of the Boardwalk. We have wandered around the Beach Club and I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

It's possible you might find something for March at either resort, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if nothing is available. Most members book between 7-11 months out.

If you're looking at the lowest posted price for BWV, that's probably for standard view villas, which are almost certainly gone at this point. There are few of them, and they get snapped up immediately by members because of the low point cost. Use the cost for Boardwalk or pool view villas as your estimate.

As for choosing between the two resorts, the big differences in amenities are that BCV has the more elaborate pool complex, and probably a larger selection of restaurants, because you get both Beach Club and Yacht Club's restaurants. BWV's restaurants are outside on the Boardwalk; BC/YC's are indoors (except for the pool bar, of course).

Assuming you can get a room through David's (highly doubtful) we liked Boardwalk. Although, we rented 11 months prior to when we wanted it.

Right now it's not which one is better - but which one you can actually get for early March. They are close enough together that DW and I just call the area Beachwalk.

I agree with others that you might find it hard to get either this close, I think you would be happy with either one if you can get it. I've stayed at both BW and BC and at BWV but not BCV. Since I haven't stayed at the villas at BC I can only go on the resort rooms. BC is my least favorite of the Epcot resorts because it tends to be more kid friendly and my kid is 39 so we tend to stay away from that. I also don't like the fact that the resort rooms have those silly juliet balconies instead of regular ones. I love to sit out on the balcony early in the morning with my coffee and watch the work wake up.

The BCVillas don't have the Juliet balconies. They have real ones.

If this March, take what you can get.

If you can choose between the two, BWV. We just did it for an adults only trip and I liked it more than BCV. The only thing BCV has over BWV is the pool IMO, which for an adults only trip (at least for us) isn't a huge factor. I really like how BWV feels more a part of the resort than BCV does, the potential views are superior (and as a renter, when you can't get standard view being "stuck" with pool/garden or BW view if available is nice), it is more centrally located between DHS and Epcot, and BW is a more lively resort at night. At the end of the day though, both are fantastic locations for adults only trips since for a lot of people that means lots of time spent at Epcot. Can't go wrong with either. They are my #1 and #2 choices for adult only trips for sure.

Boardwalk for sure. Plenty of adult food and drink opportunity. We love drinks and apps outside at Big River Grille plus ESPN, Abracadabar, Jellyrolls. Boat to Epcot last stop going and first stop returnin.

Both are great, so if only one is available you'll be good. But if you do have a choice for your dates, Boardwalk is our favorite.

Both resorts are great. If it’s going to be a relaxing vacation by the pool I’d prefer beach club. If not I would definitely choose boardwalk. You will probably need to find someone with a confirmed reservation for either resort.

As others have said, you're very late for booking through DVC for early March 2020. No availability of two nights in a row in early March at either of those resorts. I suppose it's possible that somebody already booked and is willing to rent out their reservation.

I completely agree with @sharadoc - the nighttime atmosphere at BW is everything!! There’s two bars, restaurants, a margarita stand, entertainment, etc. I honestly never thought I’d like the BW over BC, but having something fun to do at night won us over. I’d also suggest watching some YouTube videos to help make your decision. Good luck deciding and enjoy!

BWV for sure!

We love BWV and for just my DH and I it's perfect.

We love the lively atmosphere. The people watching is fantastic!

Jellyrolls is a must for us each trip. Good luck!

We have enjoyed both.
But when we purchased DVC, it was Boardwalk and have not regretted it.
If we had younger kids with us, BC for sure.
Without kids, Boardwalk.

If Storm-along-bay isn't your deciding factor, I would vote for BWV. I like that it's closer to HS and still pretty close to EP.
