Adult-time in DTD?

My mom, DH, DS(14mo) and I are going to be in WDW Sept 26-30. Trip is for our anniversary, so mom is taking DS on last day (30th) and giving DH & me some "alone time". We thought we'd wander DTD, maybe catch Cirque de Soulei (sp?), grab a bite to eat and just window shop. We're on a REALLY tight budget. Any ideas on what's fun/interesting in DTD that dosen't cost much/anything? Anyone know how much CdS costs? We're not really into the whole night-club scene (rather just be alone), so we'll be skipping Pleasure Island... Thanks sooooo much!!

Sounds like my DH and I. We're not into the club scene either but we did stop in a the Jazz club while a short rain storm was passing through. We always go see Cirque duSoleil. Tickets are Level 1 $87.33 w/tx and Level 2 $76.68. All seats are great so if budget is a concern get the Level 2, we've sat in many sections and they each afford a great view since it's semi-circular and many things happen in the air which will be more your level. We had front row (in Dallas) and I had to look straight up all night.

West End (Cirque) and the MArket Place are on opposite ends so plan your dinner accordingly. We ate at Rainforest which that and Cirque are really The Opposite ends from each other. You can walk through PI or on the sidewalks out front. There are a couple of shops in there but nothing you'd be upset with if you skipped it! IMO. Best shops are in the Market Place (World of Disney) and some good ones in the WestEnd. You can get a guide at your hotel and plan the shops and co-ordinate dinner with which showtime. Have fun!

My MIL watched the kids a few hours for us one evening, so we've BTDT.

Our favorite DTD treat is to share a sundae at Ghiradelli. Get it to go and then take it out to the tables by the water. Sometimes there's free entertainment, but the quality can certainly vary.

Bring your camera and have fun trying to find interesting pictures to take. See who can be the most creative.

Take a boat to OKW or PO and walk those grounds if you want a change of scenery. The boat ride at dusk is very romantic.

Challenge each other to find something while window shopping. DH and I had a great time trying to find a Disney nativity (they don't make them - we later asked). You could see who could find the most outrageous Mickey item, or the biggest Pluto or something that would fit your decor that doesn't have Disney on it...

Hold hands, walk around and people watch. It can be a lot of fun and easy on the wallet! Hope you guys have a great time.

Cirque is quite expensive, but worth the investment. If I did not do Cirque and was on a tight budget I would have a light dinner - sushi etc - at Wolfgang Puck Express. Although you do not like clubs you should still try Adventurer's Club. I think that it is the best part of PI. Combine those stops with the multitude of great shops and you will have a great and inexpensive evening.
