Adult Ticket age

I apologize if there is another post related to this but I couldn't find anything. I noticed on the Disney Web site that the age of an adult is 18+. As I remember it, adults were 10+ in the past. I even did a test reservation for my kids, 15 and 12, and my wife and I, and it was cheaper than listing it as 4 adults. Am I missing something here or did Disney alter their definition of an adult?

Room rates vary based on ages of those in the room. MYW Ticket are adults (ages 10+) and child (ages 3-9).
