adult pool

It is generally quiet at the adult pool. If there are "noisy" kids playing around, I believe I've read that that a cm will ask them to leave the area. They are very good about keeping it adult only.

When we were there, I don't remember it ever being noisy.

Have fun!

When we were there, it was Adults only & great music was playing. The only noise makers were the adults. The men were doing belly flops into the pool to see who could make the biggest splash!!!! ::yes::

The adult pool was great! It was like in a different world compared to the Goofy and Mickey pools! It was quiet, there was soft music playing and it wasn't crowded! I particularly enjoyed sitting on the edge of the pool and letting the waves gently wash over me. The adult pool was one of my favorite places on the ship!

Even though it is not far from the Goofy pool, it might as well be a hundred miles away. When I am doing my exercise walk, I love to walk up on deck 10 and people-watch. You can see the pools...lots of action, yellow, jumping, etc. at the Goofy pool, then you walk a few feet and there's peace, calm and quiet. Quiet Cove is aptly named.

we loved the adult poo just relaxing and sunning and visiitng with other cruisers

Read so much about the difficulty "getting" chairs is this true at the adult pool only too? Do you need to get there early? What exactly kinda music do they play?

Thanks, MKY princess:

just wondered if there are an adequate amount of lounge chairs in the adult pools...i hate to go up and have to look forever for a lounge chair?

adult pool area was quite and had chairs and very little people on our 3 day cruise. the music was also quite and it was adult themed music. it might be different on a 4 or 7 day but enjoy the pool

The music is very calming, relaxing music - nothing with a strong, overwhelming beat - which I like, but really enjoy the ability to get away to an area to just relax in.

Our first two 4-day sails we never had a problem getting chairs by the pool, but last Nov. it was somewhat difficult in the afternoon, only. So, we just readjusted ourselves & after going in the pool we went up to Deck 10 & layed out. Eventually, some chairs opened up, but we really enjoy laying out on Deck 10, anyway.

love your humor inkognito we loved the adult pool never a problem with getting a lounge chair and the music is just loud enough and you can have conversations or sleep also the hot tubs are great for meeting other cruisers too... Mike

I know what you mean about the hot tubs. We've had so many pleasant conversations with fellow cruisers there. We always bring our swimwear in our day bag so we can spend some time in the hot tubs before the safety drill. Usually there aren't many other people around, but I'm noticing more and more...I think more are learning to bring the swim clothes with them because it's a great thing to do on the first afternoon. I like to sit in the warmth of the hot tub and count the number of people who pass the pool and dip in a finger and toe. :D
We've never noticed a problem with chairs on the 3-day cruise, but that could be because we don't actually use one. On the first day, when no one's around, we'll put our stuff on a chair because we're not keeping anyone from using it. But after that, we put it somewhere else to leave the chairs open because we don't lay out...we just "hog" the hot tub.

We just got back from a 7 day western, and I am a pool goer.

I really never had a problem finding a lounge chair at the adult pool no matter which day it was, port or sea. I never saw anyone really saving chairs in that area. But at the other two pools, chairs were being saved all the time.

As far as children in the adult pool area, I actually witnessed a young girl get asked to leave the area/pool. She came with her adult sister, I guess, and went into the pool together. It didn't take the CM 5 minutes to come over to them and ask them to leave.

The pool wasn't crowded and they were just hanging onto the edge of the pool and wading. But rules are rules. They both got out and picked up their belongings and left. I also saw the CM's picking up towels from lounge chairs that didn't have any personal belongings on them all the time.

The adult pool area is the best, like being on a different ship.
