We have taken our adult child and grandchildren to Disney yearly since joining DVC in 2001. We have stayed at almost all of the DVC properties. They keep wanting to go back to Boardwalk because of the easy access to the nightlife and easy walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Does anyone else take their adult children and what is their favorite DVC?

Hi: Kids were grown ; youngest was a teen though when we bought DVC. They love our home resort of Boardwalk Villas. We've stayed at others, but still love our "home".

We take our adult children and they enjoy SSR. Close to DownTown Disney which has lots of things to do. Disney Quest, Virgin Mega Store (I know it's closing), AMC Theaters, House of Blues, and lots of shopping opportunities which include plenty of non-Disney options that young adults enjoy.

My kids 28 & 29 love the Boardwalk. We have stayed in every resort and they both love the Boardwalk. We just added on at VGC also and I know they love that too as we live in CA,

Yes. Our kids prefer Saratoga because of easy access to Downtown Disney for shopping and restaurants.

They also always rent cars now and they love Flippers Pizza. There's a new Flippers location at the Crossroads shopping center (close to the Downtown Disney hotels). :) Their homemade breadsticks are fantastic.

Our 'kids' are 28 and 27. They too enjoy being at SSR for the close proximity to DTD.

Our "kids" were both adults by the time we purchased DVC back in '97. They both still prefer OKW. I'm not sure if it's because it's what they are used to or if they really like the space there, but given a choice, they always request OKW.

We have two adult DSs, 26 and 29. The 26 yo loves BWV. So when we were choosing a resort for DS, 29, to stay with his new bride, we chose BWV. He was less than thrilled because of what he thought were very long hallways and a lack of convenient CS. He visited BCV one day, and said that if they go to WDW again, that's where they'd stay. Both sons stayed with us at OKW a few years ago. They thought it was OK, especially for the price they paid (Free!), but not their first choice resort.

I am 24 and my husband is 28. We LOVE the Animal Kingdom Lodge. By far our favorite. Very exciting and educational yet not too noisy.

Our grown kids (25 & 23) favorite resort is anyone that Mom and Dad are paying for! Actually BCV is a favorite and also is WLV but I'm thinking that BLT may get put near the top. Youngest DS loves the Comtemporary.

All three of our adult kids (28, 26, and very close to 20) love our home resort at VWL........in fact, they wouldn't stay anywhere else if it were always up to them. Our daughter (26) doesn't even care for WDW (horrors!!!) as a vacation, yet, she will not complain much if she knows the stay is at VWL. However, none of them have stayed at AKV as of yet (only DH and I have).....I can't help but feel once they do, it will run a close second to VWL.

Chalk up another vote for SSR. Our adult kids love to shop so the closeness to DTD is perfect for them. They both have children of their own now so they don't do the nightlife scene anymore. So far they have loved each DVC resort we've stayed in although they did complain about the lack of counter service food options at BWV.

For my 21-year-old DS, it's hands-down BCV (he loves the beach, the Marketplace, and the area and absolutely loves being "able to fall out of bed and be at Epcot"--our very most favorite park), followed by BWV--because of the ability to walk to Epcot & DHS...he also loves SSR because of Downtown Disney...we're trying AKV as a place to stay next month; he loves it as a place to visit (he loves Boma!)...

He loves WDW (we bought in at his urging) and will happily stay anywhere...he thinks OKW is awesome...has no desire to try Wilderness Lodge, but would not turn down a trip to Disney if that's where the accommodations were! He's totally intrigued by BLT villas (we saw the models last time we were at SSR) and will want to try there, too...but when push comes to shove, he wants to go to BCV and if we can't get in at BCV, then BWV will always be his second choice...

I think the fact that my adult children like boardwalk best is because they can walk easily to ESPN (last time they saw Jessica Simpson cheering for her boyfriend's Dallas team). They almost always see some type of sports star or entertainer in there. Also, they like to "close" Jelly Rolls. I like the fact that I can watch my grandchildren age 3 & 4 knowing that their parents are just a few steps away if I need them! Since my kids now live in different states and don't see each other very often, they really look forward to "brother/sister" time. They don't have the opportunity to go out much now they they both have children. It is a joy to watch them enjoy each other as adults -age 31 and 37. This fact alone makes every penny we spent on DVD so worth it!!

We have 4 adult DDs and one had her honeymoon at Vero in 2005 and another got married there last year. Obviously Vero is now the family favorite :thumbsup2
