What are some really good things for adults to do for their birthdays at disneyland? Character meals, fantasmic seating, lunch at the blue bayou.

Are there any special things at any particular eaterie like GK, or anywhere else in either park that they will do for adults come birthday time?

Its my moms birthday when we are on our trip in June and I want to surprise her with something really nice. Somethng special and fun just for her. But I didnt know if there were any perks I didnt know about.

One nice thing might be a spa treatment/massage at the Grand Californian. Also, make sure she gets a birthday button from Town Hall on her big day so that cm's and guests alike can wish her a Happy Birthday on her special day. And I always think character meals are fun on a birthday. If you really want to go all out, you can always treat her to dinner at Napa Rose. Oh and at Goofy's they will all sing Happy Birthday and bring a free cupcake with a candle in it for her.

I say go for Goofy's and the spa treatment is a great idea Amy&Dan. Maybe a pedicure and massage to relax those tired muscles from walking. I always like the little birthday party at the Plaza Inn even for adults. Makes it feel like you really celebrated your birthday the Disneyland way!!! Don't forget the button and she will get extra attention all day.

We were there when DH turned 50 (along with the park, itself) - He got the sticker and was wished happy bday by everyone everywhere - it was fun. We also did Ariel's Grotto and they sang him Happy Birthday (the waitstaff, not the princesses, bummer...) All in All it was a nice day for him.

We celebrated DH's birthday at DL one year. We stayed at the Grand Calif (huge for us!), did the Fantasmic balcony seating (so wonderful!), the birthday party at the Plaza Inn (also great!) and lunch at the Blue Bayou(also wonderful). Oh, and we got the birthday sticker at City Hall, but very few people wished him Happy Birthday. It was mostly other visitors who did and not cast members.

Now all the kids want a birthday at DL, but they're all during school so it probably won't happen!

You used to get free tortillas at Mission Bakery in CA but I heard they don't do that any more.

I hear this year it's a pin (button) instead of a sticker...probably more noticable.

Blue Bayou is over-rated...go to the winery in CA instead!

We went to Disneyland last November (2005) for my Aunt's 50th Birthday. We had already made reservations in advance at the Napa Rose (awesome choice for fine-dining). And a CM gave her a sticker in the line for the Indiana Jones ride.

Yes, all the onsite hotels will give you a birthday button if you are staying or dining there. You can get one at the front desk or in the restaurants. Also, you can get one at DCA at their guest services area in the front of the park.

My best friend and I celebrated my 34th birthday with a day at Disneyland and dinner at Goofy's kitchen - one of my best birthdays ever! I got a birthday phone call from Goofy at City Hall in DL and they gave me a birthday button so every CM I saw wished me Happy Birthday. And the CMs at Winnie the Pooh, Splash Mountain and Star Tours saw my button and let me ride up front! At Goofy's Kitchen, I got so much attention from the characters and Goofy personally came over with about 7 or 8 waiters/waitresses to sing me Happy Birthday! I definitely recommend Goofy's. :thumbsup2

When we were at DL last month for my birthday, my husband had asked me before we went where I wanted to go for my birthday dinner and I immediately said, "Goofy's Kitchen"! Believe it or not, they have awesome adult dinner items and desserts. I had a great dinner and received lots of attention from the characters plus they gave me a birthday cupcake and sang "Happy Birthday". I felt like a kid again! :thumbsup2
