Adult alcohol beverage of choice

I like rum and vodka mixed with something sweet. I don't like tequila, and I've tried it with many mixers. Whiskey in general is yuk, but I enjoy a Jack Daniels shot once in a while. Light red wines are good, but I don't have a taste for white. As for beer, I don't have a taste for that, either, unless it's a microbrewed flavored beer.

Mojito!!

Actually tried an amazing new recipe the other night [from "cookingcanuck.com"]:

Watermelon Mojito
3 cups 1/2-inch cubes watermelon
12 medium to large fresh mint sprigs
6 tbsp fresh lime juice
2 tbsp granulated sugar
6 oz. light rum
4 lime slices
4 mint sprigs

Place watermelon cubes in a blender. Blend until smooth.

In a small pitcher, combine fresh mint leaves, sugar, and fresh lime juice. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, muddle the ingredients to release the oils from the mint. Take care not to muddle to the point where the leaves fall apart. Pour rum and the watermelon puree into the pitcher and stir gently.

Fill four tall glasses (such as Collins glasses) with ice and divide the mojito amongst the glasses. Garnish with lime slices and mint sprigs, and serve immediately.

Sounds a little bizarre texture-wise, but it was incredibly refreshing! Try it.

I recently had blueberry vodka with pink lemonade and boy was that yummy. I also enjoy a rum and coke every once in awhile.

My fav cocktail is one that I must be the only one that likes this, because I always get a little "weird" look when I order it from a bartender - but I like it: Bourbon, ginger ale and a splash of grenadine....otherwise known in my house as a "Candi Cocktail".

If I want something a little fruity - then I go with a Wiskey Sour.

As for wine, I perfer German wines....tend to like mine on the sweet side.

What's not to love?

I like Chardonnay, sometimes I like red wine (esp. Sangria). When DH and I go out to the local Pub, I usually drink a draft beer. Sometimes I'll have a bit of whiskey or a margarita, sometimes a vodka/cranberry, and in the summer at home I like a good mudslide or pina colada once in a while. Oh, and when I'm with my brothers, we drink McGillicuddy's shots

In the winter I like red wine on the weekends. Other than that, I am a beer drinker. All the time! I like to mix half Coors Light with something like a raspberry wheat beer.

Sometimes in the summer I like a nice cold white zinfandel.

I always thought Mojito had Tequila in it. Hmmm, I see it's made with rum, so I have to try it.

There are so many mixed drinks that look good with all the sweet mixers, but I just can't develop a taste for the Tequila.

Now that's healthy drinking! You have your meat, fruit and veggies! Throw in a pretzel for the carbs and you're all set! The Food Pyramid in a glass!

Oh yeah! Around here we call that a StoliRaz7. (Raspberry Stolichnaya vodka and 7-Up)

I really like vanilla rum in coke. That is my go to favorite at home. We just had a a blueberry beer at Buffalo Wild Wings and I would have to say that was probably the best beer I have ever had. Even though it sounds horrible it was great with no yucky after taste. Oh also like Margaritavilles Bahama Mama I think it was. That was probably the best mixed drink I have had out.

I very rarely have alcohol (don't like the taste of it, never did). However, there is one drink that I do like as long as it doesn't have too much alcohol and that is a Pina Colada. My father used to make them when I was a kid. He'd make the alcoholic one for the adults and make a non-alcoholic one for us kids.

I love the Sunset Passion Pina Colada at Red Lobster.
