Ads covering clickable areas

Don't know if this is related to the white and yellow boxes mentioned elsewhere, but having ads (video) covering up "clickable" areas is not good.

Here's what I saw after reading a thread and scrolling back to the top to select a forum...


Tried to wait it out and ended up having to reload.

I get ads are necessary, but when they're intrusive...

Ads covering content are definitely not intentional, so I'm stripping down the “wide” template for testing and the process of elimination. Try using that template and see if it fixes the problem.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you. I forgot to "watch" the thread, and haven't been back.

Of course, after I posted, the issue went away. FWIW, I'm not sure how to change which template I use.

I think I'm getting the same thing, but I don't see the actual ads, its like just the clickable area is over the posts, this last one was over the "Submit" button to make a post, very frustrating.
I think i have to call it a day today, i can't afford another keyboard so soon. lol

Actually, i switched back to Wide & it seems to have gone away... If not i'll reply again.

I must have switched off of wide at some point.

When I click on a thread, I get some odd ad, but last few days, I often get "warning, computer infected"......Only on Disboards.

THIS - Then since yesterday, I don't even have to click- I am just looking at a page and it forces a popup, activates my antivirus software and I have to click back to see the boards. But it's happening every minute or so, it's not like a once/day issue.

Even since I switch to “wide”, I’ve had no issues. Try it.

This shouldn't happen again. I did one last test yesterday and this confirmed the cause I suspected.

It was still happening this morning, which is when I commented. I actually had trouble leaving the comment, I had to try multiple times because I kept getting sent to other sites. I switched to wide after and it hasn't happened again, but in regular format it was still coming up.

They are popping up again when clicking on a link
