For those who have had a recent experience making ADR's, were you able to make a dining reservation at a park that you don't have a park reservation for at your 60 day mark? For example: Your park reservation is at MK but you want to make ADR at Epcot for that evening. Yes, park hopping starts at 2 p.m. but that is not where you park reservation is at. I can see how this doesn't make a difference if you're at MK and make an ADR at a hotel or Disney Springs. But wondering if the system (MDE) is allowing to make an ADR for a park that you don't have reservation for. You may or may not be able to get in once park hopping starts and I've heard no one has been turned away. But that's more of a there now and deal with then. I'm asking at the 60 day ADR window.

You don't even need a park reservation anywhere to make an in-park ADR. They are completely separate systems.

That is what I thought but wanted to make sure so I called. I'm DVC so I asked them. They are saying something different, that it can't be done.

I can tell you with certainty, they are wrong

We are renting points from a DVC member for our upcoming trip first part of June.

Last week I made 6 in-park ADRs for places that we do not have a reservation for (plan on hopping in the afternoon/evening).

No problems at all (other than trying to get an ADR for 8 people).

The only thing to remember if you're hopping is that everyone in the party has to check into the first park to be able to hop. A couple of people forgot about that and part of their party had decided on a resort day and were not able to get in the to-be-hopped-to park as a result.

Yep! We're a family of 3 and we pretty much stick together.

If the other park is closed to any new guests because few people have left the park, you won't be permitted to enter, even with an ADR. Disney was recommending that you not make an ADR at a second park because you might not be permitted to enter and you would be charged the no show fee.

While this is technically true, it has never actually happened in practice. There hasn’t been a single day since park hopping restarted, that it wasn’t allowed (even when parks were at capacity).
