ADR's

I've been reading a few threads (there are SO many!! ) and the subject of phoning for ADR's comes up a fair bit.

Now, I've never done this... (always been there at a quiet time of year, and mostly just went where we felt like, or made on-the-day reservations...)

However, I'm going at a busy time of year next year, so will probably need to do this. The only thing being - I will be getting a Veness itinerary, and I don't think these are sent to you early enough to make ADRs (90 days before, isn't it)? Or am I wrong? I'm wondering how to make ADR's when I don't know where I'll be on each day yet!

I wouldn't worry about it, ADRs can be made 90 days before but its only the really popular choices (the Princess breakfast thing, not sure what its called! And the fantasmic package etc) that will go on the first day. I usually call on the 90 day mark but I also add or change reservations before we go and have never had a problem getting what we want. We go in August and we don't book a meal for every day and we have never had a problem getting a table on the day for places like Crystal Palace etc.

I made my ADR's a couple of weeks ago, and booked my itinarary a few days ago - all you do is put in the extra info in a given text box - all the ADR's you've made etc with times - Simon and Susan work your itinarary around your ADR's, and even if you add things (which i did the other day, as long as you let them know, they incorperate it for you.) I had ADR's ,DC, BMG,and a days fishing in Clearwater which id booked.

I quickly scanned their 2009 edition of Brits guide to look at best park days first, and then tried to book my ADR's around that. You get your itinarary about 2 wks before i think by email - it's brilliant, i wouldn't go without it!
