It has been nearly 7 years since we've been to WDW and the planning is so different. I tried to research this question; I'm sure it's there somewhere but I'm having trouble. Apologies in advance.
Family of four with two different resort reservations, 1 adult and 1 child on each. Let's call the two groups A and B.
A arrives four days earlier than B. So, just making up the dates to make it easy, A has a resort reservation for two people from 1/1 to 1/9, and B has a reservation for two people at the same resort (same kind of room) from 1/5 to 1/9 (actually until 1/10, but just pretend it's 1/9).
So, as I understand it, A can make reservations for the entire 8 days that A will be at the resort, starting 180 days before A's check in date, which I think is around 7/5. But B can't make any reservations until 180 days before B's check in date, which is 7/9.
So, my question is probably obvious. Can A make reservations at her check in date and get the benefit of 180+8 for the entire group? That is, could A make reservations for all 4 or just for the 2 on A's resort reservation? And then even more confusing, can A make reservations for B only. So, assume that A is going to go to Chef Mickeys before B arrives. But B also wants to go, but just the two of them. Can A make a booking at A's 180 day window for 2 people but then put in instead of her name just put in B's name on the reservation so that B can go?
