Hi! Staying at Poly and AKV on DVC points from 10/9-10/17. My 180 ADR window is Wednesday. Will I be able to book for the entire stay even though it is split? Or can I only do first half on Wednesday and second half on Saturday? Thank you!

You can only do the first half on Wednesday and the second half on Saturday.

That was my fear. So I should lose hope of getting my ADRs for second half then? I've got BOG, 'Ohana and Cali first half. Kona, Citricos, Jiko and Tiffin's second half. What about Kona if it's the day I'm checking out of first resort?

And is it like that for all splits or just DVC?

I honestly don't think you'll have problems booking the TS on your second half. BOG and 'Ohana are the problem children.

Also if you are using dining plan, be prepared on the day you switch, it is still considered first stay. We had to pay out-of-pocket and then call to have second dining plan applied.

Cast member on phone was able to help with no issues, just didn't know that there was that 'blip' on switch day.

Haha, yes, they are problem children. I'm going to try to not worry...though I'm up at close to midnight worrying!

We are doing OOP cuz it's two of us and hoping to split some QS meals. But good to know! I heard sometimes there's issues with Magicbands on switch day of split.

2. And is it like that for all splits or just DVC?
1. Check out day from your first resort is part of your first reservation.
2. All split stays, not just DVC.

All Split Stays
Disney does not recognize "split stays". That is an internet term To them you have 2 unique reservations. For ADR's you can make at 180+ 10 for the length of you stay. Your first stay ends when you move and you can make ADR's until then

Wow, can't believe I didn't realize! I usually don't do split stays.

Ok, thank you for clarification! Hopefully this doesn't close me out of my second half of the week ADRs.

Well...

I had BOG at 2pm, like I wanted. Clicked it, went to confirm party page, then to confirm payment page...hit NEXT...and then the error, "Someone ate your page." So, I lost it. By the time the browser reloaded, it was gone. Going to try again on Saturday for second half of stay. Got 'Ohana, Cali and Kona tho. Hopefully Saturday goes well. Thanks all for your help!

Touring plans has a reservation finder that is free when you register. Do that (though texts in the middle of the night aren't very helpful!). Also, watch the "Dining Reservations" sub-forum for cancellations. Then, check Disney's site often about a month before. People change plans all of the time and it's likely you'll get it a week or two before you arrive.

Thank you for the helpful tips! Fingers crossed I get it!
