Adrs-more guests than those on the reservation

We will be arriving at the GF October 2, so I will make my adrs April 5th.

There are 3 people on our reservation and another party of two will join a few nights for dinner. My question is will I be allowed to make the reservations for 5 people if our room is only holding 3 people. I cannot remember if this is allowed-I hope someone can help me.

P.S. they will be checking in at the GF the same day

Yes, it's usually just DH and I, but on days we know we're meeting some friends, we make them for 4 people.

Dining reservations are in no way tied to room reservations. Dining won't have any idea how many people are in your room.

Make your reservations for five at all times. It's much easier to eliminate people off a reservation than it is to add people onto one.
