ADR's going back to 180 days

I was told today by a cast member that tomorrow they are announcing that beginning Oct 27 they are switching back to taking ADR's 180 days out.

This is very good for me! I have my meals planned early and booking early is no problem. Hope that it relieves some of the manic unavailablity seen this year. Hope it is true!

There was another thread on here a few days ago that mentioned this also that when you make an ADR you will have to guarantee it with a credit card. Not just some ADRs, all ADRs. Wonder how true that rumor will prove to be?

I'm so glad they are changing back to 180 days!! As excited as I am about that I hope that's not the "big" announcement. My fingers are crossed for a wonderful discount for my June 2-10 Port Orleans Riverside package!!

Have seen this report before, but without any consistency as to when it will happen. Therefore we are treating this as a rumor until there is an official publically accessible announcement from Walt Disney World giving an exact date for the changeover. Until then, we're locking these threads and referring posters to the Rumors and News board where there are a couple of threads on this subject.
