ADRs for Rainforest Cafe???

Yesterday I was making all my ADRs for our upcoming trip in March. I was told that you can't make an ADR for Rainforest Cafe at AK during the 180 day? Is this true? Why? And if it is true when can I?

that's odd - i made my ADR for the DTD RFC at the 180 mark, along with all the rest of my meals (by calling RFC directly)

maybe it's because of the AK location? (different policy for ADRs?)

Were you talking to Disney or RFC ? You need to call RFC. When we were there last week, the Disney concierge actually called RFC, then handed me the phone. They can't do it.

Thanks didn't know that. Wonder why the CM didn't tell me that or know that? She said to call back in 10 to 12 days?

Hmmm . . . When I made my dining reservations for December at the AK Rainforest Cafe, I made them with my other dining reservations 180 days out by calling the disney dining number.

I was able to make reservatations at the AK location by calling Disney Dining and was able to do so at the 180 day mark.
Disney Dining can not make reservations at the RFC location in DTD, that location you must call directly to make reservations. They take them pretty far in advance as well, last year I called in January for a reservation in May, but I am not sure what their guidelines are.

I actually called a few days ago to make my reservations at the RFC in AK and I was given a number to the restaurant itself. The reservations are for March 1st and the number is 407-938-9100.

Disney Dining CAN make ADRs for the AK location, but not for Downtown Disney. I've done it many, many times. In fact, I just called a few days ago and made a breakfast ADR there for my Dec. trip. I also made a lunch ADR there for our just completed Sept. trip and a dinner ADR for our trip back in Feb. All done by calling the regular dining number.

That is what I thought, but it was the AK location that the concierge handed me the phone to do it myself.

Thanks. I will try that phone number. I had tried again yesterday and was told to call back on the 29th.
