Hello Everyone,

It is getting down to the wire for my trip to WDW 12/8 - 12/16 and I have a couple of questions.

My DH and I have not been to Disney since this Dining Plan began. We're going to give it a whirl but I have a couple of questions. I know that now that more people are eating with the DDP there is more of a need to make ADR's.

My question is: do I need to make them for Breakfast too? We're staying at the BWI and I would like to try the Eggs Bennie at the YC Galley which I have heard were very good.

Also, not sure whether to start another thread - but trying to find place to eat on Tues that we're going to MVMCP - all of the ones that have good recommendations are sold out - LTT, Ohanas, Kona, Crystal Palace. I have tried all of the restaurants in MK and also the monorail resorts. Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Linda

Try again. Seriously, people seem to cancel all the time, so if you can't get an ADR at the restaurant you want, call back later in the day and then keep trying a few times a day until you get what you want--with the exception of CRT, this usually works!

I'll keep checking for cancellations.

Anyone know if I should make ADR's for breakfast (that is not a character breakfast)?

Absolutely. If it's TS, make a reservation. It doesn't matter for what meal. You should always make one.

Have you tried 1900 Park Fare at the GF for dinner?

To be safe, I would make your ADR's even for bfast, it's essential if its a character bfast!

I would have dinner in the park before the MVMCP starts to avoid standing in line to enter the park. If you have a park hopper ticket or if your spending the day there anyway. Eat somewhere in the park, Tony's if you have to! Make sure your going to be about finished eating when the party starts and they'll wristband you w/out going out to stand in line with everyone else!

For what it's worth, we had both breakfast and lunch at Yacht Club Galley in June and had no problem doing walk up for both. It is not a character breakfast so it is often overlooked. Both meals we had there were outstanding.:thumbsup2

I called today and got ADR for YC Galley just to be safe for one morning.

Also, I was able to get late lunch (2:45) at Kona for the day of MVMCP. I am thinking we can then do CS during the evening if hungry. During the day will be my "see the Christmas decorations at the resorts" day to save my park pass for another day during our trip. Does this sound about right?

Thanks again everyone for your help. I am new to the dining plan as we haven't been to WDW in a couple of years. I think I've made enough ADR's to keep us happy and then we're going to play the rest by ear.

I would say yes..we love Kona, Cape May and CP for breakfast and make sure to get ressies at them all.

BTW, the eggs benny at YCG was out of this world! The potatoes were terrible but the eggs were great, try to sub for fruit or something
