There are 3 of us possibly going in Dec to WDW. I have made all my ADR's early, so we could get what we wanted. If we end up not going, then I will cancel them. There is now a possiblity of a 4th person coming for part of the trip (if we go) Can we walk up and add a 4th to each of our ADR's, or should I call and try to add a 4th?
Also one place is CRT, ...would they be able to take a 4th as a walk up? and pay for them then.
We have always been 3 traveling, and put at a table of 4, so I would think just walking up and asking to have a 4th added would be no problem, but then again...maybe it would be. I just don't want to lose any of the ADRs by trying to add a 4th on the phone and they tell me no. But if this 4th person comes, I also don't want them to have to eat alone, or find a place to eat if they can't get in with us.

You should be able to add a 4th no problem. With 3 people you would be seated at a 4 person table anyway. Just tell them you have 4 instead of 3 at the check in counter! We have done this before and it has been no problem! I am sure it will not matter at CRT either. They won't send you away. :thumbsup2

I disagree, I think it could be a problem at many places. ESPECIALLY CRT.

While I agree that 3 are usually sat at a 4 top table, if the restaurant is booked to capacity then the firecode can prevent them from letting another person in.

So it isn't just a matter of having room at the table.

I would go thru and redo the adrs that you can, adding the 4th person. And for the ones you can't....most certainly try to have them sit with you....but prepare both of you to have the extra person eat somewhere else. Whether it be a TS or CS.

Another thing if you aren't having any luck with a 4 top table, keep yours and look for just a table for 1 around the same time. Then when you get there let them know you would like to be sat near or with each other. You may wait a bit longer but this sometimes works.

Good luck...but again don't count on it. :)

Adding to an existing ADR is typically not an issue if you do so when you arrive at the restaurant. Not a problem per all reports we've received, as it relates to non-peak times. Might be a real problem during peak season, however.

It is almost impossible to have a table that seats three people. Basically all restaurant tables are designed with an even number of people in mind, so if you have a reservation for an odd number of people there should be no problem to go up by one person to an even number of people. So going from three to four should be no problem at all; just show up at the restaurant.

Thanks. That is pretty much what I was thinking.
