ADR's during Sept., too?

Hi,

We usually go to WDW the week after Labor Day weekend and because I hate to be tied down to a schedule, we never make ADR's (formerly PS's) before we arrive. Typically, we call the same day or at most the day before and arrange it. With the dining plan in place, are we going to run into trouble getting into our favorite TS restaurants? I'm not talking CRT, but Le Cellier, and Japan Tepanyaki are both on our list.

Bottom line question---has anyone had trouble making last minute ADR's during the off season since the DDP was implemented?

we went last year on sept 18th and we managed to get some ADR's with 24 hours notice, such as rose and crown, fantasmic dining package, but Le cellier was fully booked, so was o'hanas and various other popular places. This was during the free dining promotion though so i don't know if there were more people there because of this or not

We went on a last minute trip in September '05. We made 5 ADR's with about 6 weeks notice (Le Cellier, Concourse, Shula's, Sci-Fi and 50's Prime Time). When we got there, we decided we wanted to do a couple of character meals and got into the Garden Grill with 24 hours notice (resort concierge made our ADRs for us) and we walked into the Crystal Palace for lunch on a Friday with about 30 minutes wait. From what I hear this could only be possible in value time. So it's possible! We're going the same week again this year (week after labor day) but we're making all our ADR's 6 months out anyway because we're taking the kids for their first trip and don't want to risk missing out (CRT and Akershus were the only two we wanted that were already booked up by August).

By the way ADR means Advance Dining Reservations.
