What happens if I make a dining reservation at a restaurant in a park before the time that the park opens? This may be a silly question to some but I have never done that before and don't know. I would hate to get to the park and not be able to get in! Also, how early do the buses run in the mornings? Just trying to plan my disney dining!!! Thanks!! :goodvibes

I'm also looking for a more specific answer to your question, but...
as far as I know (read I'm pretty sure) there's no problem with having an ADR before park opening.
They will need to see your ADR #, so just have that available.
Maybe someone will have more specifics...but what I've already said may be as specific as it really gets. :thumbsup2

There is no problem with getting in for ADRs before the parks open. The term "open" is relative....I think it means that's when the attractions/rides are supposed to start. The gates open an hour before that on a regular basis. The restaurants open before the park "opening." The official line is that the bus transportation starts an hour before park opening. You might ask when you make ADRs as to when they "really" start.

When we went to Animal Kingdom for breakfast last year there were 2 gates to the right that were posted for early entry. We just walked up to the CM and gave her our names, she checked the ADR list and let us enter the park (of course we had to use our tickets to enter ;) ) We didn't need our ADR #, but had it handy in case we were not on the list.

I am in the same boat as you. I have booked the Storybook Princess breakfast and when I asked how to get into the park early I was told that there will be a CM there that will let you in. I am going early so I can find this CM and make sure we don't miss our breakfast.

1. you can book ADR's for as early as 8:00 at any park where there is a character breakfast: MK--Crystal Palace, AK-donald's Brontosaurus, Epcot--Princess Breakfast, and MGM--Hollywood and Vine
2. Each resort will have early buses picking people up to attend the early breakfasts (ie before park officially opens) and for the early tours. Check with the front desk at your particular resort to find out the time that the early bus pickes up.
3. Each park for the early breakfast ADR's has a gate open. At the gate will be a Cast Member with a list of the names of the attendees at the breakfast site. You just go up to the open gate, give your name, time of ADR. The CM will check you off and you will be allowed into the park.

Early morning breaksfast have been going on for years, and the parks have a wonderful system in place to ensure that you can get to your breakfast. So not to worry, as long as you do not sleep in, you should have no difficulty getting your early morning breakfast and associated character interaction.

Have fun. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
