We are arriving at All Star Sports on Saturday, Sept 11th with two kids - ages 2 1/2 and 8 months. I made ADRs for Chef Mickey's for 7:30 on Sunday, thinking that this would be a great way to get my 2.5 year old into the Disney spirit. Also, we are planning to do MK that morning and I wanted to do Chef Mickey's on a day that we're going to a monorail resort. My in-laws don't wan to do character dining and will be meeting us at the park.

Now, I'm rethinking this plan. I don't care about rope drop, but want to be at the park very shortly after it opens to avoid lines. However, I don't want to tire out my kids by making them wake up too early. So...a few questions for the experts:

1) What time will we likely get to the park with 7:30 ADRs?
2) What time should we get to the All Stars bus stop?
3) What time should our in-laws get to the All Star bus stop?
4) Would you change the ADRs if it were you?

Thanks!

You will probably get to the park around nine, which is when MK will be opening (without EMH)

2) What time should we get to the All Stars bus stop?

Well if the Magic Kingdom doesn't open early, the buses probably won't start running until 7.

3) What time should our in-laws get to the All Star bus stop?

If they are meeting you at the park I would say 8:15.

4) Would you change the ADRs if it were you?

I would think about maybe changing to an 8 reservation to maybe Crystal Palace, so you are in the Magic Kingdom already, and the time is a little bit later.

This is very good advice, I second the motion. To me Chef Mickey's is not as good foodwise as 1900 Park Fare or Crystal Palace. But that is just my opinion. Plus I think the GF (1900) is the last stop before MK and with Chef Mickey you stop at Poly and GF before MK, eating some of your time.
