ADRs and wait time - give me your experience, please.

Tell me about your experiences if you would. We'll be there in about 10 days and have reservations at the places below. Can you give me - based upon your experiences - a rough suggestion of when we might expected to be seated, understanding that I expect we'll check in 20 minutes early as we've been requested? I'm just looking for a way to set expectations for my kids and dh who will expect that a "2:00 pm" reservations means we'll be seated at 2 pm.

I can only comment on two...

We've done the breakfast at Crystal Palace twice, and have waited <10 minutes each time.

We just ate at Teppan Edo (6:15 res on a Wed. night) and checked in at 6:00 and we were seated within 10 minutes again.

We only had one bad experience - that was a 9:05 am res for Tusker House bfast at AK. We checked in at 9am and hadn't been seated by 9:30. I went up to the desk to ask what was going on and they sent us right back (other parties of our same size who arrived after us had already been seated). Never got an explanation (and the dining room was far from full).

That's really good to know. If that's the norm, that's wayyyyyyyyy better than I expected.

Sci Fi has always been at least a 30 minute wait which is why we now always take the first lunch seating.

50's PTC is usually a 15-30 min wait for either lunch or dinner.

Whispering Canyon we waited once on a Saturday night dinner for maybe 20 minutes but when we had lunch there during Easter week a few years ago we had no wait at all.

We've done all the others at least once (except Garden Grill) and the waits have been under 15 minutes at each of those.

We once had to wait nearly 2 hours at Prime Time Cafe. They were crazy busy during free dining and is the only time I've been there at supper. Fortunately they have a great bar and we didn't mind a bit. Biergarten has never been more than a ten minute wait, and Crystal Palace is always quick too. WCC we always get in early. Only ones I'm familiar with in the last decade.

Prime Time always has a wait, can be 15 or 30 minutes or more for dinner, never been seated on time there. Your others should be OK, depends on your ADR time and if they're backed up, but doesn't happen often. FWIW, most CM's at the check in areas will let you know if they are backed up and an estimated time.

We always got there about 5 minutes early and were seated within 5-15 minutes, sometimes right away. We have always had good luck except one night at Kona. We waited 25 minutes (and the table we sat at was empty the entire time we waited!). Sometimes we were really early, like 30min-1hr and we were still seated quickly.
