When I make and ADR for a certain restaurant prior to my trip, do I need to say I'll be using the Dining Plan for that meal? Or can we decide when we get there which meals we'll use for the dining plan? One of our meals will be the Hoop-de-doo Review, and I know that takes two "table service meals". Does my question make any sense??

Often, Disney Dining will ask whether you will be using the DDP when you make ADRs. However, it doesn't matter, and you are under no obligation. I don't know why they even ask, except that some people making ADRs probably don't even know there is such an animal, so asking gives them a sales opportunity.

You're really not committed to anything until you tell the server -- or in the case of HDDR, when you purchase the actual tickets using your DDP.

Thanks, that exactly answers my question! I had just made an ADR and was asked whether I'd be using DDP.

we just returned , and had a 2TS meal at CG. I figured out which meal would cost the least of them all, and payed for that out of pocket and never mentioned we were on the dining plan.
