ADR's 90 days out? or postpone trip...

Just decided to do a Disney trip at the end of September but haven't booked yet. Will we have any success getting the ADR's we want or is it too late? We really enjoy the character buffets in particular and would be disappointed if we couldn't do Chef Mickey's, CP, 1900 and maybe CRT. Any suggestions?

Since you're less than 180, try it now and see what's available and, other than CRT if you're planning on paying via dining plan, go ahead and book!

The only things you need a resort reservation for are:
1) Using a dining plan to avoid full prepayment at the 4 on-plan prepaid meals
2) Accessing the 180+10 perk.

Those are some of the more popular ones and you might have to be flexible with your times, but I don't think it's impossible to get them. With that said, you can go online now and check availability and make ADRs and then book the trip. Good luck.

personally I wouldn't change my dates because I couldn't get some restaurants. My dates are the first thing that I have to confirm due to work and if it is less than 180 days then I just go with some restaurants we have yet to try or keep checking for cancellations.

If not getting those restaurants will ruin your vacation then change your dates if it will not then go with the flow and you may end up finding new places you like even better

I will be there at the end of September too and just booked on June 18th. We will be there 13 nts during free dining, so I wasn't sure what I'd get. Luck was definitely with me!

I didn't get much of a lead on you and I was able to get all of the ADRs I wanted, including Ohana, Chef Mickey's, Akershus, 1900 Park Fare, CRT, Garden Grill, Tusker House Lunch, etc. We are doing primarily character meals for my 6 year old who was too young to remember the last time we did free dining. I admit, I had to try several days before I got Ohana and Chef Mickey's dinner at kid friendly times, but I managed both, so don't give up if at first you don't succeed. Good Luck!
