ADRIAN ROGERS
FOUNDER OF LOVE WORTH FINDING AND PASTOR EMERITUS OF BELLEVUE BAPTIST CHURCH

September 12, 1931 - November 15, 2005

Dr. Adrian Rogers, Founder of Love Worth Finding Ministries, Pastor Emeritus of Bellevue Baptist Church and a gifted man of God passed away in to the presence of the Lord early this morning after battling cancer and double pneumonia.

I imagine literally thousands who came to know Jesus because of his ministry met him at the gate as he stepped over to glory and beheld the face of Jesus.

Details are incomplete at this time, but please continue to check this web site for updates and also please continue to pray for the Rogers' family.

Beloved Friend & Pastor Emeritus, Dr. Adrian Rogers, Goes Home

Dr. Adrian Rogers,

It is with great sorrow that Bellevue Baptist Church announces the passing of her beloved Pastor Emeritus, Dr. Adrian Rogers. For 32 years, Dr. Rogers taught the Bellevue congregation the Word of God, displayed the character of Jesus, and showed us how to trust, love, and follow the Holy Spirit. With his guidance, Bellevue experienced tremendous growth in numbers and maturity. One can encapsulate Dr. Rogers’ service to us in one brief statement: he taught us how to love Jesus. For that we are eternally grateful. His accomplishments are many; his reward in heaven eternal. We will continue to remember Joyce and the family in our prayers and Dr. Rogers in our hearts.

We thank the Lord for sending us a dedicated servant. He fought the good fight and finished the course. We echo the words of our Heavenly Father, “well done, good and faithful servant.”

I can honestly say that I never heard one sermon by Dr. Rogers that wasn't a blessing. We always used to watch his sermon in the mornings before leaving for our own church and said many times that if we were close to Bellevue, that's where we would want to go.

I know that Bellevue is mourning greatly and our prayers are with the congregation and his family. The new pastor seems to be excellent, and I'm glad he's there for them.

::yes:: I so agree with you! Each morning I listen to LWF here at my desk while doing data entry and his messages have always been a blessing to me.

Thanks for posting about his passing.
I had no idea he was sick. Once in awhile, my dh and I happen to have his show on. We don't watch as much Christian tv as we used to, probably because we have 1 tv and the kids usually take it over.
Just this past Sun morning, we saw a few minutes of LWF show, during his sermon. I guess it was taped from awhile ago, which I didn't know.
I guess where I live, they put on a lot of taped shows on the christian channel and a lot of infomercials!
Thanks for sharing and I will keep his family in my prayers.

He had released some information about his having cancer and having treatments for it awhile back, and, of course, he had become pastor emeritus back in the spring. He's such an upbeat man that I guess he never released how bad things were. He also had pneumonia.
