I will be on the deluxe dining plan....How does it work when making ADRS that require a CC number upfront. For example I read that at CRT they charge your card when you make the ADR, if on the deluxe plan do they charge the card upfront and then give you a refund after showing up, or do they see that you are on the dining plan and just use the CC to hold the reservation?

When I called the CM told me that since I was on the Dining Plan my cc would only be used as a hold for the ressie. I just got last month's cc statement and was not charged. I have heard other disers say that they were charged. I'm guessing it was because they were not using the DP. I'm also assuming that if we didn't cancel or show up for our ressie they would charge my cc.

we were on the regular DP and were not charged. I waited to make the ADR until I'd added the plan for that reason, the CC was only used to hold the ressie or if we canceled beyond the 72 hour mark.

same here. we never got charged anything. we were on the DDP

While on the DP, the CC is used on to make the Reservation. However if u do not cancel with the time frame ( i think they said 24hrs) they will charge you. Ive booked several of these while on the Dp and never once had a problem. Hope this helps
