Adr!!!!!!!

Well we just had a shock today. My wife calls Disney's ADR line to just re-confirm everything, and they are saying that our Hollywood and Vine Res, with the Fantasmic package is cancelled. We never called to cancel anything. THey guy I'm on the phone with is asking where I live and he said "DO you still live in Orlando". I said " NO we live in NJ". He said that they must have made a mistake and that they will transfer me to someone else. SO now I'm waitng on hold to find out what will happen.

That has happened to me before too. I called once to change one ADR and when I went to confirm everything our dinner at Chef Mickey's had been cancelled. I was near tears from frustration. We never cancelled it. No one was willing to help me either. The only thing they had left was 8:30 and we had other plans.

I kept calling though and 2 days before we left a great time opened up and I was able to get it.

have them check similar spellings of your name. This happened to us a few wks ago. I was in a panic because they said dinner with Cindy and several other's had been cancelled. They checked the credit card info, that wasn't it. Finally they realized that our last name had been incorrectly spelled on half the ADR's. How they managed to get only half of them wrong and the other half right is beyond me. They changed the last letter, m, to an n. When I was calling to confirm the times I was, of course, giving the correct spelling, and they weren't being found. Funny thing is the conceirage desk in the lobby printed them all out with no problems the day before.
 

Well I got off the phone with the guy about 20 minutes after my post, and they said that they made a mistake and cancelled the wrong one. They were supposed to cancel someone else's that lives in orlando, and somehow they got mine instead. They gave me another reservation for the same time at the same restaurant also, so we are pleased with this. I hope that this is true that we still have a res, and not be disappionted when we get there. I know that you have to call to confirm your res's , but we shouldn't havee to do this either. But I'm glad they worked it out for me.

I have one other question, Do you think that they hold some res's for last minute problems like these?

I was going to say it was a blessing in disguise, because H&V was the worst meal I've had at WDW, CS or TS. But you never know, hopefully it will be great for ya'll! Glad it worked out for you!

I am glad they were able to work it out for you. :) This has happened to a few other folks and they were not as fortunate as you. Dining pretty much told them TOO BAD!
