So, in a couple of weeks I will be able to make reservations. WOO HOO! So excited! Is it easier to make reservations online or by phone? What time can I start making reservations? I just want to make sure I get all the reservations we want so that it will be extra special for my daughter. Thank you so much.

I like making them online because then I'm not tied to being on the phone.

The online system rolls to the new day at 6:00 am ET and the phone lines open up at 7:00 am ET. So, I would start with the online system at 6:00 am ET first and then if you prefer the phone, switch that at 7:00 am.

Just note that even if you're online right at 6:00 am, some restaurants may already be booked up (e.g., BOG). Other on-site guest have had access to that day for up to 10-days already (because of the 180+10). So, if you're an onsite guest, you're best bet is to start with the end of you trip because fewer people have already had access to those days. Also, even if you don't get all of your desired ADRs on you 180-day, don't give up! Keep looking for ADRs...people's plan change and ADRs come open at unexpected moments. You have to be persistent (and a little lucky), but keep trying to get the ADR you want right up until when you leave for WDW.

Thank you so much for your information and advice. They are very helpful.

I will try online first and if I have problems then will switch to phone. I know sometimes the website seems to have issues.

Keep your fingers crossed.

GREAT INFORMATION! :thumbsup2

I made mine online and it worked fine. Until 6:00am on the nose I would get an error message but as soon as it was 6:00 it starting working and I got my first reservation for breakfast in the castle for 8 people for the second to last full day of our trip - no problem. I use Google Chrome for browsing.

Making ADRs for the end of the trip first is a great idea! Makes perfect sense. Thanks for the tip!

I like making them online. The process is really easy. If you need to change a reservation (time or place), it's very easy to do if you make them online. I would try online first (since it opens earlier than the phones) and if you have trouble, you can call in an hour.

Is it hard to get in at 6am when trying online? I know that many sites only allow for a certain number of people...and the Disney site seems slow and 'busy' quite often.

PS - Sucks that I'll have to wake up at 5:45am on a Sunday...when the 180 day mark hits.

I've not had problems logging on at 6:00 am, but with the Disney site, who knows how it'll be on your 180-day. Personally, I think you're less likely to have a problem because it is 6:00 am ET and that's pretty early in the morning (especially for anyone in a westward time zone), so the number of people actually trying to get online at 6:00 am is probably pretty small compared to the number that are online at mid-day.

It could be worse...you could be on the west coast and you'd have to be up at 3:00 am! :rotfl:

I just wanted to say thanks for all of the advise. I got up really early this past Monday and got myself ready. At 6am I was online and ready to go. With only a minor glitch, I was able to reserve everything that I wanted. We wanted to try all new places (with the exception of The Crystal Palace). Here are our choices: Raglan Road (dinner), Akershus Royal Banquet (Character breakfast), Hollywood and Vine (Character lunch), The Crystal Palace (Character breakfast), Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner), Chef Mickey's (Character breakfast), Spirit of Aloha (dinner show), Be Our Guest (dinner) and Yak and Yeti (dinner). A lot of character dining but we did it for our 6 year old daughter (at least that's what I tell myself).
