I am new to the DIS Boards and notice that ADR Trading is allowed/promoted here. I've been on other "Disney Message Boards", and a lot of them immediately remove any posts that give specifics about any ADRs you may be canceling, stating that is AGAINST Disney policy. Just curious if that really is true, as it wouldn't make sense then as to why it is allowed here.

Hmmm...I've been away from the boards for months, but don't recall anyone trading ADRs. A few years ago when CRT reservations were different, I did have a neighbor call at the same time I was calling and cancelling a reservation. There are so many calls going into WDWDINE that it's never a given that someone will get a particular opening even if they are calling at the same time. If what you are referring to are people giving others notice that they intend to cancel a reservation, I don't think that's considered trading as the reservation is actually up for grabs by anyone once it is cancelled.

What about when you give someone else your "name" and reservation number to use so that they pose as you? That just doesn't sound like something Disney would "allow"....

I had ADR's at Chef Mickey's and then decided to change the date. I read about a family who wanted ADR'S for that day so I got their name and info, called Disney Dining and they had no problem with our reservation being changed into their name.
