Hi All-
My question is.. Is there a time limit to being late or early for an ADR?
My family is on the Deluxe Dining plan, so of course I have had to make a ton of ADR's at 180 days out. Let's say we have a ADR at 1:00, have a huge meal and I have accidently placed the dinner to close in time to the ending of the last meal. If the ADR is at 6:00 -is it okay to be late?
A friend of mine who just returned (went in April) said her family was almost an hour late to every ADR and had no problem. I just wonder if anyone has any guidelines on this. I would hate to think it is okay to be late (and I am not thinking of being 1 hr late to everything !!) and then have them tell me I had missed my ADR.

One that I really worry about is the Fantasmic Dinner- they will not let me get an ADR later than 5:20 - seems really early when the show is at 9:30. So will they turn me away if I am late?

Thanks to anyone who is able to help me with this.

She may not have had a problem, but some other diner and the restaurant team may have. We were late for our Fantasmic ADR; didn't realize the difficulty of getting fromMK to MGM. We had disappeared off the screen of ADRs, but the manager did find us and after a reasonable wait we were seated and were well taken care of; we were lucky I wouldn't want to try that again.

I would not bet on being able to show up an hour late and still get your table. Some people have been allowed, and I have seen people who are 20 mins late and turned away( especially during holidays or free dining). There is no real way to know for sure, and you run the risk of losing your adr.

I had a late Fantasmic ADR once and they gave me a really hard time in getting the "pass" they told me that Fantasmic packages could not be passed 5:30pm because of the seating in the Arena. They gave me the pass but I wound up not using it afterall, we found better seats on our own. HTH :thumbsup2

I believe the window is only like 15 minutes. We have seen people turned away from Le Cellier, Coral Reef, and Mama Melrose for being late.

I know once our bus got caught in some really bad traffic one January during a marathon. We were at like a stand still, for it seemed forever. We called WDW dining from the bus (as did alot of others that morning), to tell Crystal Palace we were going to be late and why. The CM told us not to worry about it as everyone else was going to be late too, it seemed. When we finally got to CP the CM did give us a hard time, but did let us in. We were like 40 minutes late. We were told at that time that restaurants hold ADRs only 15 minutes.

Well, some of the flexibility with being late may have to do with the time of year you are going. If you are going during very busy times, they may not be able to accomodate your party if you are an hour late. At other times of the year, they may be more flexible. However, I would never plan on just showing up an hour late and expecting to be served. You might be eating counter service that night.

Thanks to everyone for you input and info. I will just always try my best to be on time ... and pray that my family cooperates !!! And if not oh well !!
