ADR seating wait- how long before no cancellation fee?

Hi
We are travelling with a 3 year old in our party and will be booking 1130/5pm meals. If we have to wait for than 30 mins to be seated we may well choose to cancel the ts and pop to the nearest qs.
Will we be charged a cancellation fee for this?
How long past ur ADR time do you class as reasonable?

I don't think you would be charged if you just told the CM you had to go. That being said, with early dining times I don't think you'll be stuck waiting that long.

usually for ADRs I arrive about 15 minutes early, when doing that I either get seated on time or get seated a little bit early...but usually for earlier ADR times there shouldn't be a HUGE wait bc more people tend to flock to the 12-1 for lunch and 6-7 for dinner time slots

It is up to the restaurant to decide if you are charged. If you choose to leave after 30 minutes, you could be.
I have waited in a 45 minute line to checkin for my ADR at Biergarden and them we waited 30 more minutes to be seated.
The earlier your ADR the less likely you will have to wait extended times. But there is no guarantee.

Those are similar meal times to what we always have and we have never waited more than a few minutes past meal time (and honestly I don't think we were ever seated past meal time) to be seated and our last two trips were Thanksgiving and Easter week. I really wouldn't worry about it. Even with rainstorm we were seated in time.

Depends upon the restaurant bog for dinner our last trip we were seated over an hour late. Ltt for dinner was 1.5 hours later then our adr for 5pm and that was even checking in a half hour early.

If you wait a half hour and don't get seated remember even at going to qs place it's now 530 545 and you will have to wait in line to order also

if you are charged is up to each place and who you talk to that day. if you decide to bail be ready to pay but also think that there could be a line at the nearest CS that you would then be at the back of so it could take you 30 to 40 minute to order and get your food. you might not be able to sit and wait for others to order and bring food over, have seen this happen as CM is there stopping those without food from entering dining area. my plan would be have a small snack to hold 3 year old over until seated
