Hi folks, Already looking at restaurants for my Adr's. Last went to Disney 3 years ago - and I realise places change and new places come up - so I would like to know your favourites to help me decide . There will be my DH, DD (10) and myself with free DDP. Here are the places we have been to previously - are they still any good etc and any new suggestions would be great!::thumbsup2

Teppan Edo - loved it!
Crystal Palace (character breakfast) our favourite for character breakfast but I know a lot of you don't rate this one!
50's Primetime - good fun!
Coral Reef - Surroundings beautiful - food nice too!
Le Cellier - great, but is this one 2 credits now?
Hollywood and Vine- food nice - fine dining but not much atmosphere
Sci- Fi - fun surroundings for a lunchtime meal while your in the park
Beaches and Cream - can't book- but well worth the kitchen sink- that was announced to the whole diner that we were having it!!!:rotfl2:
Chef Mickeys-(character breakfast) didn't really like this one - I know most of you do, and it was great to see Mickey, but it felt like we were in a business hotel- not Disney
Whispering Canyon - Sooo disappointing - no interaction the day we went
Yactsman Steakhouse - Oh Yes!!!
Rainforest Cafe - mmm... Ok

Would b really interested in your advice on quick service meals too - don't really like living on burgers and fries every lunchtime.

Hi, We haven't been to some of the restaurants you've been to, but here are the ones we do like from your list.

Teppan Edo
50's Primetime
Coral Reef - We had a wonderful meal this last trip, 9/2011, but many people do not rate it too high on their list.
Le Cellier - It is only 2 credits for dinner not lunch. Lunch is still 1 credit.

I would recommend:
Tutto Italia - can't remember when it's closing for refurbishment
La Hacienda de San Angel
Akershus (Norway)

The list of quick service meals we like that aren't burgers:
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons (Land food court)
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe (Norway)

MK - Columbia Harbor House (Haunted Mansion)

Hollywood Studios - ABC Commissary and Starring Rolls Cafe

Animal Kingdom - Flame Tree Barbecue

Have a look at the dining report I did after we did 14 nights on ddp October 2010 - lots of pics of QS and TS.

Link in my signature.

There are lots of great QS options - we liked WolfgangPuckExpress at DTD and pepper market at coronado springs.

I am a fan of Crystal palace...we had a great dinner there.

We enjoyed

Akerhaus
Crystal palace
Garden Grill
Liberty Tree Tavern

We didn't do any signature dining....we had small children. These are the meals that everyone in our group (ages 4-70) were satisfied.

Boma is great for all meals but I especially love their breakfasts.
Sanaa, another once in my 'must do' list.

Nothing wrong with Crystal Palace. I like it there too!

I'm a big fan of the onion soup at Chefs de France...

Last year we went to Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace, Sci Fi, Le Cellier to name but a few but Boma was one of my favourites and would dine there at least once per trip and Yactsman Steakhouse was to die for ... literally!!!

I would like to try a few new places this time.

another vote for sanaa at AKV and Boma at AKL.
we also love le cellier but it is 2 credits now and i'm not sure it's worth that?

We also tried Yak & Yeti last year and it was my favourite meal of the holiday.. YUM.

We also like Raglan road at DTD

Table service we like........
Grand Floridian Cafe
Narcoossee
Teppen Edo
Chefs de France
Tutto Italia
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Yak N Yeti
50's Prime Time

Counter Service.......
Columbia Harbor House
Yak N Yeti
Earl of Sandwich (DTD)

Just got back yesterday, here are the ones we like:

Teppan Edo: Loved the food and the chef cooking at the table
Chrystal Palace: Booked an early Breakfast so that we could get photos of the castle without anybody else in it
Akershus:Food was lovely, you get a free photo with Belle....we booked late so that we could walk back through an empty Epcot
Chef de France: Loved it, we got 3 courses on the dining plan and the food was lush, we booked for 4.30, fist sitting and you get to see remy
Ohana's: we went for breakfast with lilo and stitch and we had dinner....loved both
Hoop dee doo review: it's 2 TC but well worth it, you get unlimited drinks including alcohol...food was salad, corn bread, ribs, chicken, corn, beans and mash....great entertainment.
Mama Melrose fantasmic package; food was OK, but worth doing as we didn't have to wait around for fantasmic

Counter service:
Wolfgan Pucks at Downtown disney....great food and value
Yak and Yetti at Animal Kingdom
Staring Rolls at Holywood Studios
Cooks of Dublin at Downtown Disney

Narcossee's would be my first choice every time, also le cellier and yachtsman's high on the list. I agree with what you said about chef mickey's.

TS we like (in no order)
50's Prime Time
Mama Melrose (for Fantasmic package rather than food)
Yak & Yeti
Raglan rd
Whispering Canyon (enjoyed the little room at the back, wouldn't enjoy being in the middle)
Captain's Grill
Liberty Tree Tavern
La Hacienda San Angel
Teppan Edo
Sanaa
Chef Mickeys (both breakfast & dinner OK for a buffet)
Trails end (been 3 times and paid OOP, fave buffet onsite)
Hoop Dee Doo (Done 4 times hope to go back a 5th next year)
Grand Floridian Cafe (Aug was our 3rd visit, probably our fave meal of the trip, toss up with Sanaa)
Garden Grill
Akershaus (great value for 1 credit incl photo but a little rushed)
Beaches & cream (paid OOP about 4 times, not good value on DDP but best burger onsite)

TS didn't like.
Cape May
Cali Grill
Biergarten
Coral reef
1900 Park Fare

TS mixed views
Yachtsman (great steak but desserts a waste of space, I am not into arty food, I want proper dessert)
Crystal Palace (not a fan of the food but great to see empty park early AM)
Chefs De France (not bad but won't return, did it to see Remy)
Le Cellier (great 1st time, 2nd time not good, tweaked the menu and didn't like, not worth 2 credits)
Tutto Italia (same as Le Cellier, great 1st visit, poor 2nd time)
Boma (yet another good 1st visit, didn't enjoy the 2nd, doubt we will return)
Olivia's (very average, couldn't fault but no reason to go back)
O'hana (breakfast we are going to try again next year, some characters too slow, never got to us, not a breakfast fan myself)
Ohana (dinner, 1st time great buy the window, 2nd time in the middle, really, really bad, awful singer, weird interaction with kids, I want to eat not see this rubbish, especially around my table)
Turf Club (might give another go sometime, I ordered steak and blue cheese, there was waaaay too much blue cheese, it killed the steak, we did enjoy the place though)

I think that covers them.
CS faves, Mara, WPE, POR, POFQ, Harbor House. Only one I can think we wouldn't go back to is Earl of Sarnie, just don't see the attraction to a sarnie and very poor use of credit on DDP (others love it)

This year we ate at,
Espn at the boardwalk
Ohana's
Narcosses,
Le cellier ( lunch is still 1 table service point, dinner is 2)
Sanna
Boma
kona cafe
Planet Hollywood

We love teppan endo, but didn't get there this year.

Our favourite quick service meals ( no burgers in sight) were from
Wolfgang puck express (DTD)
Sunshine seasons( epcot)
Cosmic rays ( MK)

This is my trip report, it has photos and dining reviews
