Okay...
So my 180 day window is fast approaching and would love some help from the ones who know more about this than me!!

So it's our honeymoon first off, and we've managed to get free quick service dining plan.
We're staying for 17 nights, so we we're thinking if using our 2 credits for breakfast and lunch and then being able to spend a bit more on dinner each night..

My first question is can I book for the whole trip on 180 days from the first day of my trip?
And secondly, restaurants for dinner? We have 14 day multi park tickets so we'll have 4 days at the end of our trip where we'll be restricted to resorts and downtown!
We'll both be 21, so anywhere that does a good cocktail would be nice too ;-)

All advice will be appreciated! Thanks!!!

You can book ten days at 180 days before arrival.

For example, if you are arriving on September 16, you can book your first ten days (through Sept 26) on March 20. You'll then have to wait until 180 days before your 11th day (in this example, the 11th day would be Sept 27) to book for the rest of the trip - that is, you can book the second half on March 31. Clear as mud, isn't it? :surfweb:

As for recommendations, I would say make a list of every possibility, then strike them off one by one until you are left with the number of places you need. There are many good places, many romantic places, many interesting places - but there are reasons not to go to many places too. If, for example, neither of you particularly cares for seafood, then you can avoid places where that is the specialty. My SO can't stand spaghetti/pasta dishes in general, so when it is just me and him we never even consider places like Tutto Italia or Tony's.

The restaurant at POR (Boatwright's) is actually pretty good, and would make an easy night to have dinner there, wander the grounds of the resort, maybe take a boat ride to DTD. Also fun is a monorail "dinner" - have drinks at the bars in each progressive monorail resort and grab appetizers or snacks along the way. If you try this, I recommend starting with the Wilderness Lodge, taking the boat to the Contemporary, and continuing from there, with a taxi home from the Grand Floridian at the end after the fireworks (so you don't have to navigate the bus lines at MK to get home).

The Swan/Dolphin have some good options too, since you're paying cash for meals. They have a karaoke bar which is a lot of fun, and you can easily walk back across the bridge to hang out at the Boardwalk too.

Quick service is walk up, but you can book reservations for your dinners online all ahead of time.

There are so many great restaurants on property at Disney.
You can check out allears website, they have all of the restaurants listed and their menus.

It's a great idea to do Quick service for breakfast and lunch and do table service for dinner.
Remember to space your meals, so you aren't too full when it's dinner time. :)

Paying out of pocket can be quite expensive at Disney restaurants,
so looking at allears helps, since they list the prices as well.

A few of my faves:
Citrico's at Grand Floridian,
Raglan Road at Downtown Disney (great drinks here too)
Le Chefs de France and San Angel Inn (great Ambiance for couples) in Epcot
Don't want to miss Be Our Guest & Tony's Town Square in Magic Kingdom.
Sanaa in Kidani Village at AKL.

Thanks! We're both quite easy when its comes to eating, so will try pretty much anything...

:)

Are you sure about this?
I would have thought that they could book their 11th day ADR on day 2 of their vacation, because that would be 180 (from their second day) plus 10... So that, after the first 10, they could book the next 7 over the course of the following week....one per day.....

Yes, you are correct.

Great! Makes more sense! Thanks...

There are so many Wonderful TS restaurants at WDW - there are over 100.
I suggest you review the menus here on the DIS and at allears.net.
This will help give you an idea of cuisine.
Are you interested in Character meals. How about buffets and family style service. Do you plan on going to any of the Signatures? They are wonderful, more upscale and adult, but expensive.
I strongly suggest experience several of the international restuarants in WS at Epcot. Each offers a unique experience.
Don't miss the Hoop Dee Doo Review. It is classic Disney and wonderful.
I will think of more specifics as well

Congrats on your upcoming wedding and what an awesome honeymoon!! :lovestruc

Some of our faves are:

Le Cellier
Via Napoli
Sci Fi Dinner Theater
Tusker House

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to eat at many of the resort restaurants, but it seems there are sooo many good ones to choose from. :goodvibes
