So I made my ADRs on the 180th day and have everything all planned out. Now, my sister is bringing her boyfriend along. So, do I need to call and add 1 to the ADR or will the restaurant allow the one extra. I don't want to call to change the ADRs and have them say it's no longer available. Does anyone have experience with this?

If I were you, I would play around on the WDW website and see if you can get the same places for around the same times but with an additional person. If you can, book them, then cancel the original ones you made. I don't think it's that easy to add a person. If your party goes from 3 to 4, they might be able to add easily but if the new number will change your table size, like from 4 to 5, it might be a problem.

Good luck! :thumbsup2

I just the other day had to add to my ARD and called in CM had to cancel my orginal only after they confirmed we could get the same time with the added person. Hope this helps:cool1:

As another poster said, I would check on the disney dining website to see if your time is still available for that number of people then make a new reservation. If not, the best thing to do is to check in and tell them you have one more person. You run the risk of them saying they can not accomodate the other person (they are under no obligation to seat you with a larger number of people if they are booked that night), but I think this is rare. We've gone up in numbers on a few trips from surprise guests and never had trouble being accomodated. As other poster mentioned, you're better off going from an odd number to an even number (from 3 to 4) than vice versa (4 to 5) just because of table set-up.

Thanks for the tips. My probelm is that my party size is now over the limit for what can be booked over the web. I want to call to up the count, but the rest of my party doesn't care. I also don't to lose my current reservation, because she now has a diiferent boyfriend, and may have a different one as of June.

If you are looking to go from 10 to 11 (even to odd numbers) you probably will have a problem. I would call or be prepared that he may have to eat somewhere else.
