When making reservations, do you need a credit card at the time? We of course will be using the Free Dining Plan, but hope to make the ADR's tonight.

If you do need a credit card, do they authorize a certain amount at the time or do they just want one on file?

Also, if they have a cc on file and you for some reason miss your dinner, and can't let them know of the cancellation, do they charge you for that?

If we think we will miss one, I will try to let them know, but I'm not perfect, but don't want to be penalized either.

Another question, say you have a reservation time, but you are running late. Do they hold your spot for a short time or not?

Thanks

Now maybe things have changed since we were there in October but no you do not need to make reservations using a CC. The only ones where that is necessary is specialty places like CRT (only 1 in park we came across that we needed to use a CC) where demand is high and they want to make sure you show up at these priority seatings. But there are very few places that you need to give a CC to hold the reservation. As a courtesy yes, cancel any that you won't be making and I think they will allow a 15 minute grace period if you are running late. And yes if you did use a CC to hold the reservation and you do not show they do charge your card a penalty fee. Other than that when you call to make ADR's you will be asking name, resort your staying at, how many in party, and if you are on the dining plan.

Thanks!! I have some I want to reserve, and have some back ups in case we can't get first choice.

I don;t mind the authorization on the card, but at this present time only really have enough for the deposit on the room, and would try to wait to make ADR's and send a payment in today to the cc company.

But would like to have as much of this wrapped up by this weekend as possible, would be a dream!
