If I make ADR's for a party of 7, and then later find that 3 people cannot attend the dinner, can I call back and change it to a party of 4, while still keeping the same ADR?

No, they will cancel the current ADR and book a new one if available.

If you have enough time before the trip to know that 3 people aren't coming, then try to make a new ADR. If you're there and 3 members of your group end up with the flu or they aren't in town yet because their flight was late, just go to your ADR and let them know that party of your group wasn't able to make it.

Make a new ADR before you cancel the existing one. If you cannot get a new ADR at the same place, keep the existing one (don't even mention it at this time). When you hang up the phone, consider the options -plan to go to the original ADR with the remaining members of your party and see what happens, or make a new ADR (using a different phone number) at another restaurant just in case you are turned away at your first choice when you get there. You will probably be seated at your first choice, CMs know that things happen and that some party members may not show up.

Ditto.

It's kind to call and see if you can get a new reservation and let the larger party go back into the system but it may not be possible. If it's not, go ahead and let the host know that 3 of your party were unable to come and it'll be fine.
