ADR Problem - Trying to book them

Hi all

I tried to book my ADR last night.

180+10 as i am staying on site at AKL (Arrive 3rd Oct)

They asked me for my Disney reservation number. (Which i have not got)

I tried to use my booking reference number from the TA (I know this is my booking with them and not disney but it was worth a try)


So i rang the travel agent today to ask for my Disney reservation number and then they thought i was speaking foreign. As they said the only number they have is the booking reference number i had tried.


Has anybody got any ideas what i can do cause i want to book my ADR's ??

Other than giving them the number you have, or enquiring of reservations what number they have against your name, I would just wait the further 10 days before booking as 3rd October is not the busiest time of the year.

I booked mine without Res Number,(I think you need it for the signature restaurants and the ones you need to make a CC Res) try ringing back it may depend on what CM you speak to, when I rang to add another restaurant the CM I spoke to told me I had booked a day early and that she was cancelling my reservations, I was so mad So I rang the following day to rebook and spoke to a nice guy who confirmed all of my reservations back to me 1 by 1 and they had not been cancelled the previous day.

I just explained I had booked through a UK TA and gave their booking reference number and every time I rang (3 times in total) I had no problems with any of the CM's, if you get an awkward one, hang up and ring again. From past experience with the TA's they know absolutely nothing, I was telling them how Disney worked, even when I picked up my documents and the TA was going though them I explained to her how DME works. I will give it another go tonight when i get home from work.

I only want to book a few to the ones we want to definately do.


I know that TA book loads of different holiday but im sure Disney holiday to WDW are very regular considering most TA have there once Brouchures for WDW.

I think they should all go on training courses.

you should be able to book without a ref number. just hold on the line without answering the automated questions and you will get connected to a CM after a few minutes.


tell them you don't have a ref number as you are travelling from U.K.
they only need to know your name, arrival date, your hotel if staying onsite and number in party etc.

That is sort of what i did.

I even gave them my TA booking ref. But it was no good. I think it was probably a bit of a jobsworth i spoke to so i will try again tonight.

We booked our ADRs last year without a reference number with no problems but it was at the 180 day mark adn not 180+10. We just gave the name of the resort we were staying at each time and our names and party number and that was all they needed.

I have read about people just giving a random 10 digit number and it being accepted so if all else fails try that.

I just rang. And spoke to very helpful person.

The CM search the system to find my booking which took her 15 mins. But she found me. RESULT.

So, so far i have booked.

Chef Mickeys - Breakfast (Monday)
Cinderella Royal Table - Lunch (Sunday) Cost $250

I have now got my Booking reference so i will book some more in a few days.

But very happy that i got these ones.

Glad you finally got what you wanted, most CMs are OK, but you occassionally get 'awkward' ones. We booked 180+10 without our booking ref. (I put my tel no in the automated system). Hopefully it'll be quicker for you next time.
