I am traveling in October with my husband and two boys (5 and almost 2). We will have the dining plan for all but the youngest. When booking do I put the part size as 4 or 3? I know for many restaurants you have to pay up front so I don't want to have to pay for 4 when I should only be charged for 3. Also, how does the pre-pay restaurants work when you have the dining plan? I have not bought it yet so will I just get a refund?

This is my experience... Some restaurants will want you to say 4 and some three. It gets really annoying because we got snapped at a couple times saying 4 and three. One restaurant was well you have six so why wouldn't you say six. The next was like you are only paying for 5 so you say 5. Under 3 is free so you should never have to pay for them.

We were there with our 9 month old last fall and were told to include her in our ADR. The reason is that they need a seat count, not just a count of who is paying. When you make the ADR through MDE or phone, it should pick up that the child is younger than three and won't add the charge if has to be prepaid.

Include everyone in your party when you make the reservations. Including the infant. They want a head count.

You wont be charged for the baby at restaurants that require up front payment. They will ask for how many adults and how many children. Then they ask for the age of the children, and children under 3 will be free.

If you have the dining plan and book restaurants that require full payment up front (Cinderellas Royal Table is the only one that comes to mind right now), you can book and specify that you will use your dining plan and they will not charge you upfront. At that point it would just be a credit card guarantee.
