Hi,

I'm re-posting for suggestions as my 180 day mark is 2 weeks today with some minor changes and so just want some opinions. Our trip is in October so during MNSSHP. What do you think is the best order to book ADRs with the following plan:

Sun - Dinner at Ohana around 7pm (MK closes at 7pm that night - not attending)
Mon - Dinner at CRT around 6:30pm
Tues - Dinner at Hollywood & Vine (fantasmic) around 5:15pm
Thurs - Dinner at BOG around 6:30pm (MK closes at 7pm that night - not attending)
Fri - Breakfast at Akershus around 9am
Sat - Breakfast at Chef Mickeys around 8:30am

I know the following order:
  1. BOG - dinner Thursday
  2. BOG - dinner Wednesday (backup if don't get Thurs)

But what about the rest? Anna and Elsa will no longer be at Epcot so would imagine Akershus breakfast isn't as hard to get

I would try to make your ADRs in the following order:

1. BOG - right at 6:00 am!!
2. 'Ohana - since it's for your first night

And then do the 3 character meals in the order of the day you're planning:

3. CRT
4. Akershus
5. Chef Mickey's

And, finally, the H & V Fantasmic Dinner Package:

6. Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic Dinner Package

My ADR 180+10 date was earlier in March, & I have the following ADRs scheduled:

9/8 - 'Ohana dinner
9/9 - CRT lunch
9/10 - Yak & Yeti dinner
9/11 - Garden Grill dinner
9/12 - Sci-Fi lunch
9/13 - Crystal Palace lunch
9/14 - Chef Mickey's breakfast
9/15 - Be our Guest dinner
9/16 - Liberty Tree Tavern lunch

When I made our ADRs, I did them in the following order:

1. Be our Guest - our Be Our Guest ADR is for our 8th night, &, even w/ being online at 6:00 am & making this ADR first, I STILL did not get the time I wanted. We currently have a 4:30 pm dinner.

2. 'Ohana - this is for our arrival night. I wanted around 6:00 pm & was only able to get 6:30 pm. (There were other times available, but I thought anything before 6:00 pm was too early since it's for our arrival night, & 6:30 was the closest I could get to 6:00 pm.)

3. CRT

4. Garden Grill

5. Crystal Palace

6. Chef Mickey's

7. Yak & Yeti

8. Sci-Fi

9. Liberty Tree Tavern

And, after I made our ADRs, a couple of days later, I changed our plans a little bit & was still able to switch around CRT, Garden Grill, Crystal Palace, & Yak & Yeti with no problems & still w/ the times I wanted. I even changed our CRT from a dinner to a lunch.

Surprisingly, sometimes it's hard to get Sci-Fi w/ the time I want.

Basically, my "plan" when booking our ADRs is the following:

1. Schedule Be our Guest as far into our trip as possible & make this ADR FIRST at 6:00 am.

2. Our arrival night dinner - especially if it's a relatively "hard to get" ADR like 'Ohana

3. Character meals in the order of the days planned

4. Other restaurants in the order of the days planned

Hope this helps some!!

Thank you. This has been very helpful!

Yeah, i don't have much hope for BOG, especially since we arrive on a Sun and am trying for the Thurs night...and would need to book before 7pm. But will try that one right at 6am.

I worry about Ohana and CRT and when I look now at 180 days out, they both only have one time and it's after 8pm (too late for my kids). But of course, I'm not seeing 180 days + 10. Also, I wasn't sure between them as CRT would be choice over Ohana, but as you say, Ohana is for the arrival night.

I do see Hollywood & Vine fantasmic at 5:45pm but perhaps would be a touch rushed...but good to know its available and not so off.

Good to hear you could still switch things around. Keep tryign for BOG if you want to try for a later time as people say that spots or cancellations do sometimes open up.

Sun - Dinner at Ohana around 7pm (MK closes at 7pm that night - not attending)
Mon - Dinner at CRT around 6:30pm
Tues - Dinner at Hollywood & Vine (fantasmic) around 5:15pm

Fri - Breakfast at Akershus around 9am
Sat - Breakfast at Chef Mickeys around 8:30am

I have made ALOT, and I mean ALOT, of ADRs over the last 5 years. Friends and family ask me to do theirs quite often, and of course I do them:thumbsup2

I would suggest the following, especially taking into consideration that you're travelling during MNSSHP too:

1. BOG (of course lol)
2. Chef Mickey's (these always go FAST)
3. O'Hana (my suggestion is to see what time Wishes is that night and make your ressie for 30 mins prior to Wishes starting. That way you can watch Wishes while having dinner. It's a gorgeous way to start your vacation and is our family's arrival night tradition;))
4. CRT
5. Akershus
6. H&V

Good luck and hope this helps you out!:goodvibes

That would be cool to time Ohana with Wishes , but it will be night of MNSSHP so I don't think Wishes runs that night

On MNSSHP nights, they do "Hallowishes" which is a Halloween version of "Wishes."

However, I think, if I remember correctly, "Hallowishes" is normally scheduled for 10:00 pm, which may be a little late for dinner, especially if you have young children with you.

After you two BOG dinners, I would book
CRT dinner
Chef Mickey breakfast
'Ohana dinner
Fantasmic pkg
Akershus breakfast

Your best bet is to be on phone and online at same time.

Good luck!

Unless things have changed, its more difficult to get a Fantasmic package after 4:30 than most character meals. You may have more luck because H&V is not as popular as the other choices. I'd definetly do BOG first, then Ohana, then H&V, CM, CRT, Akershus...unless you're flexible with H&V times.

Thank you. When I check I do sometimes see a 5:30pm time for Hollywood & Vine fantasmic. Would this be too late? I'm thinking second/third choices should be CRT and Ohana, but not sure order. I never see decent dinner time for either at 180 day mark.
I do plan being online at 6am

At least 9:30pm has a better chance of seeing the fireworks than 10pm. For the MNSSHP day, we're not planning on dinner TS. That would be our Akershus breakfast day...which probably isn't as hard to get now that Anna and Elsa has moved to MK.
