We'll be staying at YC March 1 - 9. Most mornings we'll probably just grab and go for breakfast but if we decide we feel like a more substantial meal will it be a problem to walk into Captain's Grille without an ADR?

How about at dinner time? Does it get booked up?

I've heard from many ppl that the place is NEVER crowded. So I think you should be able to walk up and get a table for both bfast and dinner. Of course there are many who will tell you to make an ADR just incase, you never know, blah blah blah.

I think the fact that Captains Grill isnt a character meal AND most importantly is a bit of a pain to get to (Yacht club) could be why its not as crowded as other places.

When we stayed at the Beach Club last year (for 8 nights), we had breakfast there 3 times. I had reservations all 3 times (in the 7:30-8:00 time frame) and I can tell you they were completely unnecessary. All 3 mornings the restaurant was less than 25% full. It's a great breakfast spot too! You can get the buffet, which is not as big as the buffet only places - like Cape May -- but still plenty good, or you can order off the menu. And if you get the buffet, they may bring you items that are on the menu that aren't at the buffet like their excellent French Toast. Don't know if that depends on your server or if it is standard operating procedure, but wouldn't hurt to ask.

We never made it there for dinner, but by most accounts dinner is very good and also not very crowded.

We had dinner at CG the last two years during the last week of Oct. during F & W fest. While the resort area was booked solid CG was only about 1/4 filled for dinner from 6:30 to 8:00 pm both years.:)

We've walked in there four times in two trips. Longest wait was 10 minutes. We LOVE LOVE Captain's Grille!

And it was never crowded there. It was the perfect place to unwind or start a day slowly. Nice and quiet, perfect change from the crazy park restaurants.
