We are staying at AKL at the end of Aug on the FD plan. We have 6 nights and I suspect we will be heading to the parks in the early am and then back to the hotel for a swim before going back to the parks at night. From what I have read about AKL it is the furthest from everything, so travel time has to be seriously considered. Because of that, I don't think we will be eating at any other hotel. Besides making the obvious reservations at Bomba, Jiko, and Sanna....where should we go? There are 6 of us. 2 Adults, 4 kids. Is TS in the parks good? Seems like the hotel restaurants receive higher reviews than the parks. Not sure what to do exactly. :confused3

Hi,
I can tell you that DH & I really enjoyed Yak -Yeti in the park...everything was fresh & delicious!! This was , for us, the best TS meal at out of any of the parks, except for Epcot. (Too many to choose from there!). I highly recommomend it. The best wonton soup, spring rolls and chicken dish I have had in AWHILE . And living in NY, that's saying a lot!

Hi! We loved Yak and Yeti as well....

Not sure what kinds of food/atmosphere you are looking for, but here are some of our favorite TS restaurants in each park.

MK: We don't generally do TS here....someone else can probably chime in!

DHS: Brown Derby is our fav. Prime Time is sort of fun, and the food is okay.

EPCOT: Rose and Crown, Chefs de France, both Italian restaurants, both Mexican restaurants. Of course on the boards Le Cellier is extremely popular (we enjoy it as well) but it's hard to get a reservation here. If you are looking for something a bit more elegant, Bistro de Paris is terrific.

we always stay at AKL.. we like to take the bus to MK around 4/4:30ish then monorail over to the Poly for Ohana's or Kona Dinner. then its just an easy monorail ride back to MK or EPCOT after dinner

Thanks!! This is great. Exactly what I needed. I have never been, so I am completely overwhelmed with the choices and how to get around. Going to check the menu on those places now! Thank you!

I looked up the menu but it says counter service. Is there more than one? Or is it a CS credit? Thanks.

If I had 6 and wanted to keep it easy, it would be Sanaa, Boma, Yak & Yeti, O'hana, WP at DTD, 50's because it's fun and the food is good.
