adr help

when we next go to disney, we will have 6 adults and 2 kids. One child will be 3.5 and the other 16 mos. when I call for my adr...do i say its 7 people only or do i mention that there are 7 people and a child under 3 (for a high chair or something) this is our first time to WDW with small children, so this is new to us.

They will ask you how many adults and how many children and how many infants. But it is a reservation for 8 people. Everyone counts toward the party size.

thanks...so are we able to be a grand gathering...or do you have to be over 3 to count for that??

You could register as a grand gathering if there are 8 of you but you'd have to do that with your resort reservations. Although an infant counts toward party size at restaurants they don't count toward resort occupancy, so I don't know how that would work, you'd need to call Disney and ask.

Children under the age of 3 do not count toward the minimum guest requirement of 8 people (I found that posted here on the DIS):

when we did our GG our dd was 2 and we had 9 but were only counted as 8
