...or is something else at play? :confused3 Was able to secure tonight a table for 5 on Saturday, May 20, for the 7:15 show. Our group is comprised of 3 adults and a 9 and 4 YO, and I'm sure we'll have a good time (though none of us have ever been). It's just that with all the glowing comments about Hoop-Dee-Do, I assumed this would be the second hardest advanced dining reservation to get behind you-know-who.

Related question: Will we be able to take a cab from Beach Club to the Wilderness Lodge? Don't really feel like busing it over to MK, then boating it to WL, then taking another bus to the show.

I haven't ever really heard of HDDR selling out or being hard to get. Although that doesn't mean its not. I just haven't read that.

Also, HDDR isn't like a normal restaurant. It has lots of tables and can seat many people. Its really more like a dance hall size than a regular restaurant. Plus it has the upper level seats too.

The only thing I would worry about at booking 53 days out is what kind of seat you will get. It might be in the back.

I am debating adding HDDR to our July trip. I just haven't decided yet. We have done it once before a few years ago. But my 14 y.o. wants to do it again. I am trying to decided if its worth the $200 + for the 4 of us to do it again.

We rarely miss it, I feel its one of the best dine and watch shows on property. Even after seeing it over 25 times, we still laugh and join in, yes, we swill the beer and wine, but we ain't driving no where. Food is rather good and the show excellent. Worth the money, yes, for toddlers, no.

I've never had a problem getting into HDDR even a few weeks out. I do believe that the better tables are given to the first who reserve, but that's never been confirmed.

Just because I don't want you ending up in the wrong spot, you say here that you are going to the WL. Hoop Dee Doo is actually at Fort Wilderness, so that's where you'll need to get yourself to.

We just went in February, reserved late, had a table way in the back, and still could see EVERYTHING, and the cast even made a fuss over my parent's 40th.

I think you'll have a ball.

I don't know if it helps or not, but we went in July, a party of 8 adults, and I called and booked it I think 2 days in advance? We were seated about 20 feet from the stage, this however was for the late showing.

I just booked HDDR at 180 days out and here I thought it was a big deal to have gotten a reservation at such a late date. :rotfl:
